And "good confirmation?"
I didn't ask her, too much going on, she was taking pics and puppies were getting upset.
Anyone know what those terms mean.
can't find info on the 'net'

Conformation is the way they are proportioned as close as possible to breed standard...Most dogs are built square, or rectangular, so she knew what your breed standard called for, and was commenting that your dog are good examples of the breed..Good bite, means that their teeth line u according to the breed standard, as well..Different breeds do have different teeth set required... My own breed, asks for a 'level' bite, which means that the teeth don't overlap, but meet perfectly..Slightly 'scissors', is the most common breed asked for characteristic, so whichever your breed calls for, your pups have the correct teeth set..

If you go to alc.org and look up your own breed, you will find the 'breed standard''reading the standard for your breed,, you will see both of those terms used..

Good bite refers to the puppies jaw & position of the baby teeth as others have stated.
Good conformation means the puppies have decent construction. It may or may not mean the dog conforms to it's breed standard though unless the vet happens to be experienced in showing/judging that breed. What is good conformation for a German Shepherd is not good for a bulldog.
What breed? I can't believe you could have shown the mother to a breed worthy level without knowing these terms.

Good bite and good confirmation mean that the pups, at 8 weeks, could be show quality. Bite refers to the way their upper jaw meets the lower jaw. Confirmation means the way the pups are put together according to the standard for that breed.
Check the standard on AKC for more information on the breed of pups you have.

Good bite means that the bite isn't undershot, level, or overshot. It's what we call a "scissors bite". This is referring to how the mouth closes in the front and how the teeth sit. And she kept saying good conformation?? Did she have you walk the pups around? I'm going to guess she didn't feel any skeletal defects but that's an odd word to use. Probably read it on the net and wanted to say it! lol

a million. I agree approximately Metallica one hundred%. they have long gone too mainstream and lost their steel subject matter. Megadeth, I agree additionally, yet their maximum recent albums shows that they nonetheless have been given it. yet I actual have been a Slayer fan all my existence, and there's a huge form of distinctive thought that they tutor. study Hell Awaits to international Painted via Blood. thoroughly distinctive riffs, drum beats, vocals, and so on. ultimately, Anthrax they have lost it, i do no longer even think of they should be a area of the huge 4 anymore. you do no longer pay attention something from them! 2. i might say Slayer and Metallica. in the process the 90s, Slayer got here out with Seasons of the Abyss, that's between the main wonderful thrash albums there ever is. additionally, for Metallica ...And Justice for All got here out then. this is one in all my well known albums from Metallica. 3. Municipal Waste, Evile, Gama Bomb, Warbringer, and poisonous Holocaust. All wonderful bands now a days that are protecting the thrash alive. i'm purely 14, yet i understand my steel. :P

I am no vet or anything like that but what I think she was saying bout the good bite is the way the teeth line up. Now I am only guessing but the good confirmation might be the way the hole themselves.

Was the vet playing with the puppies at the time, allowing them to chew her hand? If so, they were being gentle with their bite and she was letting them know that this is the proper way to play, not to get rough. The confirmation, I'm not sure.

But if she was saying it to you, the bite she was saying was lined up properly and the teeth looked good. Confirmation is usually their stance.

Hello- well as far as good bite goes they meant that it's teeth and jaws meet uniformly. And as far as conformation that term is used to describe their body form. As far as I'm concerned it is used far to frequently. But this is used in the pure breed community to simply describe muscle tone and bone structure. Does this help you?
