So there's this guy, right? Ok. So he's pretty much one of my best friends. We've known each other for five years.
And pretty much, that whole time I've had my eyes on him.
But now, I feel a lot closer to him then I did before.
I don't want to make anything AWKWARD between us, and I'm kind of shy... so I really don't know what to do.
He's the sweetest guy I have ever known and we have fun times together.
He knows that I like him too, only because I emailed him...
But what should I do?

Obviously, I'm a girl. But how should I ask him? I really wanted HIM to be the one to ask me, but I'm not too sure I can wait too long, until he finds someone else and I'm not sure I can get enough courage either....

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Ask him. Forget all those silly rules about the guy asking the girl first.

Many guys are flattered when the girl takes the initiative.

Bet he's feeling those vibes, too.

And just remember- successful relationships usually are those where the couple were best friends to begin with.

Good luck!

just be brave. and go for it. guys like girls with confidence. trust me you should totally ask him soon before he does find someone. the same thing happened to me, but i guess i waited too long, because he did find someone and now we barely talk, its hard to get ahold of him because hes always with her and it really hurts. dont make the same mistake i did! really just go for it and say hey we've been friends for a really long time and i dont want to make things werid or awkward or anything but i really like you and i was wondering if you felt the same way and wanted to go out sometime. just think of something simple like that and do it. i know you can. waiting for a guy to make a move is like waiting forever, especially if hes your best friend. i hope i helped you out and good luck with however you go about the situation!..

You are friends for 5 years and he knows you like him more than a friend now, so the next time you see him- when you meet give him a kiss on the cheek and see how he responds- if he backs off- he is still just your friend-- if he reciprocates --- you have a budding relationship---- good luck

You're going to end the friendship, even though there wasn't one to begin with. You wanted him from the start, that's not a friendship. Trust me, I know. Everytime I try to be friends with a girl, I end up wanting to get her number. Guys and girls cannot be friends without wanting each other.

Ask Him! You will always regret the opportunities that you passed up. You really don't want to be sat down thinking in 10 years time...mmmmm, "What If"
