I definitely would.
It's a matter of looking around to see what traffic there is, carefully maneuvering over to the side, even if it's a little farther than where the kitten is, and walking carefully to where he is, picking him up and getting back into your car and into traffic, using the proper signals throughout the whole thing.
If I didn't do this, I wouldn't have peace of mind, and to me, that comes before my own safety.
(PS: I never drive 70mph! I'm one of those annoying drivers whom you're always honking at because I'm never speeding when you're in a hurry, lol!)

I have a weakness for cute little animals. But I think I'd have to say no. I can't recommend pulling onto the shoulder & stopping on the freeway unless it's absolutely necessary. (Ex: flat tire) If there was very little or no traffic, I might consider it.

MANY VARIABLES ENTER INTO THIS EQUATION. AMOUNT OF TRAFFIC, TIME OF DAY, WHERE ON FREEWAY(GOOD AREA OR BAD), YOUR DESTINATION, IF WORK , WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO CARE FOR IT DURING THE DAY, BOTTOM LINE IS THAT IM A DOG MAN BUT I WOULD STOP IF I COULD.
GOD BLESS

No Do Not Stop!!!
When you stop you create a traffic hazard. Someone could hit you or have an accident because of you. It is not worth the risk of getting killed. or causing an accident which could involve several cars.

To avoid killing myself I would have to say no. As much as I would like to help the kitty my life and the lives of others on the road are more important.

NOPE!
Do you stop for a cricket, an ant, a fly, a coyote? GEEZ, you'll be stopping every two miles.
