In order to keep your hair nice and soft , don't get it chemically straightened. That will change the structure of your hair. You may like and may not, but for right now I would try other methods least invasive before you go to that.
Get the whole system of "Sleek looks" by Matrix and buy a CHI iron. Both the system and the iron will be expensive, but well worth it. You will see that the two combined will leave your hair straight all day and maybe for a couple of days.
Make sure that you get your hair cut every 4-6 weeks and deep condition it at the salon. Check with your stylist as to what they use for a deep heating treatment. I use a combination of 3 different products and charge $20 for it. My clients love it and so do I. I use top of the line products and so your stylist shouldn't have a problem with showing you what she uses.

Bed head has some of the best straightening products. You want to always apply some type of serum to your hair in order to protect it from heat damage so start with that. After you are finished straightening, apply the head head keep hair straight spray. That should help. If that still doesn't work though, try using herbal essenses dangerously straight shampoo and conditionor or any other kinds of straightening shampoos. That should help.

Dont let it get wet. If you sweat, it will get wavy. If you are in a steamy room or a humid place, it will get wavy. I recomend you either get a relaxer (it will straiten it) at the salon for like 30-40 bux, or getting a backup straitener in your purse and take it with you on your running around. If you EVER get a break just run into the bathroom and fix it with a plug in. Peace out. Laterz. Luv/Kodi

you can either:
1- use a cream to keeo hair str8 before you straighten it... try John Freida's Frizz-Ease serum... or something else that would make the hair take the heat better and come out straighter
2-chemically str8 your hair...
