my hair is long and thick so I use a relaxer. A few years back my hair dresser left the relaxer on my hair to long which caused it to brake off at the root and left bald patches. I didnt get another relaxer for another six months. Instead I kept my hair braided at first with extentions and then with just my hair. I kept my hair moisturized and washed, and I deep conditioned it every two weeks. When my hair had grown enough to were I was able to wear it down I had it cut into a style. I still washed and conditioned every two week but at night I wrapped my hair or used the large hard rollers.
For my hair Its important to keep my slit ends trimed and my scalp moisterieds. Too much brushing will cause damage along with too many chemicals. I avoid using jell, sprits, or any thing that will mank my hair hard or sticky. I also try to avoid using to much heat.

When you wash your hair bend upside down and massage it as you wash it. The blood circulation is what will speed up the hair growth. You don't have to do it vigorously, just massage it and don't fall! lol!
Make sure you get regular cuts... just get small amounts cut, 1/4 of an inch is good. You don't want to get split ends because the longest part falls off first, so you want to keep them at bay.
Use good quality hair care products that you can get at your salon. Over the counter stuff is not very good and only puts wax on your hair and scalp. Your stylist will know by your hair type what products will be good for your hair.
I hope I've helped. Good luck and God bless.

Go to a professional beauty supply store and ask one of the people there. The best way to make you hair grow greatly is also by not cutting it. I remember I had hair as short as to my ears. By trimming it every three months, my hair was down to my shoulder in less than a years time. Try it.

I have been taking hair supplements for the past 3 years and here is what I have found.
GNC makes a tablet called "Ultra Nourishair" in formulas for men and women, the pills are taken daily, 2 pills a day. They are HUGE and very hard to swallow, if you have any trouble at all with large tablets, then I wouldn't recommend these. The 2 pills also contain only 1200 micrograms total of Biotin, which is the main supplement needed for hair to grow faster and stronger. You should try to get a minimum of 2500 micrograms of Biotin daily to improve hair's rate of growth and its condition. Even though I took these GNC pills for 4 months, I wouldn't recommend them because they are not the most high quality pills available.
ProCaps labs makes a great supplement called "Hair Skin and Nails" formula, here is the link for that
http://www.procapslabs.com/pcl/pages/pro...
This is in capsule form and much easier to swallow. This company, ProCaps labs is also extremely reputable and carries pure and effective products.
I took GNC's Nourishair for four months, and supplemented it with extra Biotin tablets daily due to its low Biotin content. I took 2500 micrograms extra Biotin with the GNC pills.
The Procaps hair vites have 2500 micrograms of Biotin in them, and don't really require extra Biotin be taken, but I do take an additional 2500 micrograms of Biotin for a daily total of 5000 micrograms of Biotin.
My hair is growing in thick and dark and quite quickly. My hair used to be very slow growing, but all of these supplements have really made a difference.
The only way to really change the health of your hair is by taking supplements that work internally on the follicle where hair is made, any shampoos or oils or other topically applied things do nothing to change hair's structure, that can only happen with systemically provided support, which means supplements that you take internally.. Keep in mind, regardless of how many or how much you take of any supplement, hair is never going to grow at a "Jack and the beanstalk" type of rate, the most you can hope for is to improve the strength and health of each hair follicle and to see an incremental increase in the rate of its growth

make sure to get it trimmed every 4 to 6 weeks...sounds weird, but it keeps your hair healthy and it grows better then. I heard biotin can help hair growth, but unfortunatly there is no magic potion for faster growing hair! so be patient...cuz your hair only grows on average 1/2 inch a month!

Your hair will grow at a slow pace. The only thing that can help is scalp stimulation. Even then, you probably won't notice a difference

Prenatal vitamins can speed up the growth process sometimes. Make sure you use a good shampoo and conditioner that keeps your hair moisturized so you don't have to deal with breakage and split ends.
