Try Fruition and Night Repair by Estee Lauder. It is the best cure for acne and recurring blemishes. I used it for about a year and was permanently cured from it afterwards. I haven't had any blemishes for years. It is expensive but both bottles will last for about six months. Apply a small dime size amount of both formulas on your dry face after a shower. You can put make up on over it and after a few weeks you will see a major difference. Good luck and please try it!!!!

First off what kind of skin do you have oily, combination, or dry? I don't know about vitamins, but birthcontrol helps (Ortho Tri-Cyclen)- for girls. also my friend with severe acne was on the Atkins diet and it helped her skin a lot.
Oily skin- use a mud mask, don't use toner, use lotion or facial mosturizer with spf, in it exfoliate 1x week
Combination- i don't really know
dry- use a dry skin cleanser use cold cream to remove make up or as a mosturizer
Don't buy walmart face cleansers. If you are spending the money on proactive- goto nordstrom or jcpenny or marykay and buy nice face cleanser it will work there is a difference. Instead of spending money on a facial buy the facial products that they sell.
A good one is dermatologica $$$. I use nordstrom H2Osea mud mask and H2O gel moisturizer.

The thing about Proactiv is that you need to use it consistently but it tends to dry out some people's skin (including mine). Taking a Zinc supplement can work for some people, but i never had any luck with that or vitamin B. The most frustrating thing about acne is that what may work for one person may not work for you. Sulfur-based topical ointments work fairly well to kill the bacteria, but these sometimes smell bad. Antibotics worked for me, but there are side affects to these as well. Most dermatologist will take cash, as well as any other M.D. Do you have a family physican that you can see?

i had hella acne when i was in 9th grade. tenth grade, i got an idea from the fact that my pimples were caused by bacteria on my face, and had a lotta grease in 'em. so i needed an antibacterial somehting that is tough on grease. dawn dish detergeant (or equivalent, so long as it has triclosan in it).
assuming you shower in the morning, at night before bed, put a SMALL dab on each pimple. small enough that it's shiny with the soap, but not big enough to run to any ''non-pimpled'' skin. if you let it sit on ''normal skin,'' it can give you a rash. within a few days, the zits will dry up, and itch, b/c new skin rapidly grows underneath. in their own time, they will fall off.
this technique is also good for zits that aren't yet ''born.'' you know when one is coming on, put some detergeant on the area and it might not come around. true story.

if you talking bout acne, proactiv isnt the "solution" your looking for. That only treats the symptons but does not treat the cause. Proaciv claims that there is no cure for acne, but there is infact one. There is an e-book online called Your Last Acne Solution. Its a 250 page manual describing exactly the true cause of acne and then the cure in every detial. Its amazing.
