If you're going between the hours of 11am and 2pm, get Dim Sum at Empress Pavilion. I think it's on Broadway, towards the 110 freeway.

If you're going in the evening, have dinner at Yang Chow at 819 N. Broadway, call (213) 625-0811 for reservations. Order the Slippery Shrimp.

There's a great jazz bar down the street from the Yellow Line station. The owner and staff were so nice to us, even though we barged in with a horde of 15 people.

There isn't too much going on Chinatown, but you can find some interesting little gems if you look closely.

Check out all the souvenirs shop. They have pretty amazing things.A lot of the items are items from different countries such as Japan, Korea, China ,etc. Have fun and Happy Birthday!
