Just remember BRAT!!
Bananas
Rice
Applesauce
Toast
Those are the best things for a stomach bug. Make popsicles out of pedialyte or his favorite juice. Motrin for a fever! That might help. Rub cool cloths on his head. Snuggle & give him extra hugs! :-)

Whenever I had a bad stomach bug, my mom made a homemade Oral Rehydration Solution. It doesn't taste great, but it makes you retain the liquid and really keeps you from being dehydrated. Some Tylenol to keep the fever down is good. If you can, try and get him to eat some crackers or bread, just so that he'll have something to throw up instead of dry heaving. The website I listed as my source has all the information about the drink. It tends to work better than Pedialyte or Gatorade.

No dairy at all. All 3 of our children had the stomach bug a few weeks ago. I would try the Motrin. Since he is vomiting wait till calms down a bit. I would also call the on call doctor. He might be able to call out some Phenergan suppository. This will help with the nausea and help him sleep. Good luck. Oh and keep up with the Gatorade, pedialyte even some Sprite. NO JUICE OR MILK.

Give him Tylenol for the fever if he can keep it down and then..NOTHING.. every time you introduce a liquid and he vomits, not only is he throwing up that but also addition fluids IE bile etc.. Try introducing ice chips after an hour. If he vomits that up wait another hour and try again. Check for dehydration by looking at his mouth. If he still has alot of saliva he is probably still hydrated.
Then if you can get some rest because chances are you will be next.. Good luck!

Usually children's motrim will help bring the fever down faster. I used to give motrin, then tylenol two hours later, then motrin at the scheduled time, then regular dose/times after that. A bath is usually good to bring it down quickly by pouring water over the head...though the child won't be real happy with you. When he settles down in your arms, see if he can nibble on a few saltines. They usually tend to calm a stomach down. If all else fails, get the poor thing to a doctor or E.R. High fever over a long period of time, along with vomiting can be quite dangerous in a young child. Good luck. Sure hope he feels better soon.

Try giving his something soft and plain like porridge, soup or bread.
Small amount each time but more frequent rather than 1 full meal for his vomitting problem. As for his fever, there are several ways to get his temperature down.
-Wear light clothings
-Encourage fluids
-Sponge him with luke warm water(dab with cloth and not rub) if he doesnt want to shower or soak in the tub
-Cold compress especially around the folds
-Do not cover him with thick blanket.just a light one will do.better still no blanket, but if he starts to tremble,do cover him up and as soon as its gone, remove the blanket away
-Fever medication like paracetamol syrup strictly 4 hourly for the first 24hrs and 4-6hourly when necessary thereafter for subsequent day.
Hope this help.If the vomitting and fever still persist after doing all these,i suggest you bring your child to see the dr immediately.

Small pieces of banana and toast. Saltine crackers are also good. Tylenol is great for a fever. One time when my son was real small (less than a year) the doctor suggested coke for the vomiting. I thought it was odd, but it worked.

Emetrol, it is a liquid medicine...it is for nausea and I it works so fast......I have three kids and it has done the trick for me from the youngest all the way to myself......you will still need to give them Tylenol for the fever though.........trust me on this....

liquids. this is the most important thing to focus on cause you have to watch out for dehidration. so make sure if anything your kid gets enough liquids. mix pediatlite with a favorite juice of his.
my doctor told me not to be so worried about food while child is not able to hold it down. he told me to stick with liquids that my child will be fine without solids for now. this lasted about three days and finally she began to eat very small amoumts of food and lost weight but once she began eating she gained it back slowly.

just fluids for the time being. if he isn't hungry, don't make him eat. if he has fever, giving him tylenol will be fine. a bit of grated apple would be good if he wanted food.
