How much privacy do you have when you are showering or using the toilet?

Depends on where you are. Whether you are in field conditions or not. I have had to use many open bay showers. And I have used latrines where you could literally high five the person next to you. Just depends.

During Basic Training, there are open bay showers, but the toilets have stalls. After basic, it depends on the base. Some have two rooms that share a bathroom. Others have a private bathroom.

Navy bootcamp you share showers with a bunch of guys at once. The toilets have stalls and curtains so you have privacy then. On a ship its about the same as bootcamp unless you are an officer and have a stateroom. On shore you usually have your own bathroom or share with one or two guys.

in most training camps or basic, none. as for on base housing (barracks) it depends. if you get stuck in old barracks then none really unless you get an NCO's room, but everyone tries to give you your privacy (one or two people showering at a time). if you get in newer barracks, they all have private bathrooms in the suites (3 or 4 people to one bathroom w/ a door and lock) if you are female, you usually get a private room w/ a bathroom in the older barracks.

None, my husband's unit used a truck for showering in Iraq. The women soldiers used the night vision goggles to watch.

Military showers are usually common and your privacy is shared with your fellow soldiers resulting to camaraderie.

No privacy in boot camp. But after that you get privacy.

During basic training or boot camp you'll get none at all but after your though you'll get a bathroom/shower that you share w/ one or two different ppl.

you shower together and i'm not sure about the toilet thing. my fiance did the basic trainign thing and he said you got like 3 minutes to shower, so i'm thinking they had better things to do than check out each other's bodied.
