I have a puppy w/ tapeworm & she cannot get into the vet til after thanksgiving! ugh.Is there anything I can give her to help until I can finally get a shot from her vet? I actually feel so sorry for her but is there any "old Potions" out there that would help her til then??I also have two small children and am nervous about them crawling about and its totally disgusting!My house is clean but this is nerve racking.

Take her to an animal hospital rather than wait for the vet clinic. An animal hospital will be open.
Aside from your fear of the worms crawling out of your pup into your clean home, think of the torture your pup will endure with these critters crawling around her insides, making her sick.
Please take her to an animal hospital.

Waiting a few days to see your Vet might be better than trying something strangers are telling you, on an internet site, is an effective home remedy. It may not be effective at all and it might be something that is toxic to your dog. Tapeworms are usually treated separately from other types of worms with a stronger medicine. I'd advise that you let your Vet handle this. The thought may be gross but its only a few more days.

since it is tapeworm, you do not need to go to a vet appointment. Just call the vet office, tell them your dog has worms, and they will get you a prescription for drontal. I am sure you have more than one vet office in your town. Call around until you find one to give you an office visit or a prescription. Or, go to a petstore. They have OTC wormers that kill tapeworms. Just ask the associate for assistance.

What a crazy thing to ask!! Why would you even give anyone the chance to possibly kill your puppy with some of the crazy things they suggest? Come to my clinic. We can fit you in. Or call another vet in your area and tell them you can't wait. Tapeworms are parasites and they can be very harmful to your dog.

Why can't you go to the vet until after the holiday? Do they not have any openings? If so - try another vet, or ask your vet on the phone for the medication - maybe you could bring in a stool sample for them to verify and they could give you the meds

wait for the vet.! some over the counter meds. can be very dangerous and Will not get rad of tape worm! the vet. will first give the dog a shot for it and then you fall with pills! make sure to use as directed by vet., if you don't they will come back!! make sure your kids wash their hand often and keep poo cleaned up in yard to prevent it spreading to them!! hope this helps!!:)

try walmart , pet dept , they have a liquid wormer covers all worming ok cost about $6 ,but read the label, and when yo uget to your vet ask for the tablets

you can go to the pet stores and get a dewormer...i get mine from petco its called d worm..its roughly about 10$s.
