Take small steps to control your life.
I would suggest that you start with Weight Watchers which addresses how to lose weight and some of the emotional issues as well. As you loose, you will become empowered. Drop 5 pounds and you will begin to feel some control over your life and eating. This is not a diet, but a lifestye of healthy choices. I hope you try it. WW has worked for me for 35 years. You can do it!

to make a long story short it is not easy . i was once very heavy . thiis is what i did . lotsa cold water (when you get hungry first ) . only eat cold food nothing warm nothing at all . don't sit and eat a meal just enough to stop the pain of hunger . rember your body will know this and try to store more than it needs so no binging ever and go for a simple walk a would walk to the bus station go down town and goof off . then go back home . don't look at the scale you will know when your pants don't fit anymore . now i am at 225 and holding thinks that is as low as i go but still walking

I used to be overweight but In stead of eating I decided one day I would go to the gym and get on a healthy diet I lost 78lbs and now I feel great but I suggest talking to a doctor beforhand but Im sure you can do it if you try!!! there is nothing to be ashamed of there are ways to make it better if you just try!

You need to get help for your depression. I know someone that had weight-loss surgery when she ate for emotional reasons and she did not do well with it at all. People that eat for emotional reasons need to talk to a counselor to get through their emotional problems before trying to have the surgery. Also, the Lap-band surgery is NOT better than the Gastric Bypass. Lap-band takes longer for people to lose weight, and you have to go in to have the band tightened. My husband's Aunt had the Lap-band and she never lost a pound and ended up with an infection.

I know how you feel. I'm very overweight myself and I just want to eat, but I know that it will not help me in the end. Did you know that they put things in the food that we eat to become addicted to it. Get the movie "Super Size Me" and the book "Cures They Don't Want You To Know About." This author also came out with a CD that is suppost to help you lose weight. Before I was pregnant I got his book a did lose 20 in a month. I just need to started doing what this book says to do again.

start walking , speed walking , start of slow and a couple blocks at first then start going a little further each time, change the way u cook your food , bake boil, or broil is the way to go, no more white bread,no sugar, butter mayo,salt, eat a lot of green leafy veggies, and eat more fruit, cut down on the size of portions u eat, if u follow this u will lose wieght, it will be hard at first , but when u start losing u will start to have more energy, just hang in there and keep pushing yourself, and with each step u take , keep telling yourself [i'm getting better ]good luck to u and god bless u

you need to be strong and find the self-control to say "stop". find a new routine, have it inlude plenty of excersize and no more than the daily allowance of needed calories. Try to find someone else to help you through this routine. Diets dont work, they key to losing weight, is eating smart and excersizing.
& don't be ashamed, you just need to make the right decision NOW,.

get off this computer right now and start to move.. if you cant even go as far as 2 yards out of your door, so be it.. and gradually build up each day more and more length.. When you feel a craving coming on.. Walk it off.. Cravings usually last 15min or so.. If you are too embarrassed to walk outside, go up and down your hallway 50 times.. just move..
