shagg or buzz?

Question

42 years old. have been struggling with short hair for years...never buzzed tho...two cowlicks and a massive widows peak up front. would shagg be too teenager and would buzz be too military?

Okay... my advice would be to check out George Eads in CSI. He changes his hair a lot! In season six, he had shaggy hair, and then in season seven, he buzzed it all off.

Now, there was a huge debate amongst the fangirls about it, I personally preferred the shag to the buzz, because he looked softer, and gentler. With the buzz he looks kind of military and kind of mean. I think a lot depends on your face shape, your ears (no buzz if they're sticky outy, in my book) and your general style. Some guys are buzz cut guys, some are not.
(I think that's why the girlies were so upset about the "Nick Stokes" hair thing... they like to think of this character as emotional and caring... now he looks like a thug!)

I don't think a shag is too teenager... but at least if you decided it was you could get it cut shorter... not so with a buzz cut.

Also, have you tried a "pugilist" style... it's kind of a roman style with very short bangs, and quite classical. Think Gladiator. I find this quite an attractive mid-range look on lots of people, especially if you have curls.

Embrace the widow's peak, that's really quite cool, I wish i had one.

I have been wearing mine in a shag for a long time and I like it, I have a widows peak too.
I like it, cause I can still do different styles with it. Where a buzz is just one style.

Buzz it just once to see how you look you might like it.or tell them to leave enough for you to spike up a little...that always looks cool in my opinion...
