Who cares if someone is offended. We must have law and order. We cannot have people come here from Mexico and other South American countries just because they want to, not pay taxes that legal immigrants and Americans pay, not learn the language, and not assimilate.
We must have standards and enforce them.

America's immigration laws are the most liberal in the world. This should be highly apparent when compared to the immigration laws of it's neighbor to the south (mexico). Being that so many people in the world wish to come to America and all cannot, America has a quota system to ensure the diversity that makes America the envy of the planet. no other country has the diversity that America has.

Well honestly I think the only thing anyone would find annoying is the time it takes to get something done (waiting years before your citizenship or visa to be granted and all...).
But then again laws are not meant to give an EASY or POLITICALLY CORRECT way to something, they are meant to provide an ORDERLY and BALANCED way to that something.
And these people (the supporters of illegals) should also know that ALL countries have immigration laws, and some of them are far more cruel than the Yank's laws (I refer you to a certain country south of the US border).

The laws have been good enough for the other immigrants who come into the USA. OH, but they are immigrants, meaning they came here LEGALLY. I think the laws should be enforced heavily on the illegal Latino population because they seem to think they are immune to them. They are racists and think they are too good to have to abide by our laws. They think because they are "Latino" they are special, their $h!t don't stink (LOL) and their As$eS are made out of platinum, they can do as they please. They are wrong and they will be deported. Americans are preparing to rise up against them with our own form of justice. They better be prepared for the worst. NO MERCY!!
Ray- Wrong. We reached our 300 millionth PERSON in our total population. Ironically the honor was given to a Mexican-American baby. Immigrants are people who came here from another country. OUR ancestors came here as immigrants and by being BORN here we are not immigrants, we are natural born citizens.

No!!! What is offensive is that the Border Patrol is not permitted to enforce the laws that are already on the books. Call your congressman and senetars and tell them that you want the existing laws enforced. And while your at it Call the Office of Border Patrol in D.C. and tell Chief David V. Aguilar that you want him to back his people up and allow them to do their jobs. He can be reached at 202-344-2050

If we had immigration laws, there wouldn't be 13-20 million illegals in this country.

Yes lelani and the people you are calling Latino are native American we are descendant of Aztec, Maya, Inca etc. we did not come in no PINTA, NINA, SANTA MARIA OR MAYFLOWER

The problem is is the you see the Mexican peasant as immigrant and they they see them self as native they been traveling this land from north to south way before European had the notion that the world was round and is funny every time poor people stand up for there rights all you can do is call them communist,
I thought expressing your opinion was more Democratic than
communist.

First off our immigration laws have been made a joke by not enforcing them. Good grief, crossing the border without permission is illegal anywhere, drug smuggling is illegal. Yet 2 of our weakened Border Patrol agents are going to jail for trying to stop a drug cartel illegally crossing our border. The illegal sued and won. What part of this is offensive and to whom?
Our unenforced laws has allowed illegals to become cocky, they insult us as they burn our flag. Give us the middle finger as they hold their nasty crotch in broad daylight with people all around. Nothing is done to stop them. What would happen to a gringo if they did those things to illegals?
Illegals find the word "NO" very offensive. Nice going Bush. Because of the NAFTA/SPP deal Bush made With Mexico, our laws were trashed like our Constitution. That deal is meant to erase our borders and have Mexico move in. The unfair part is it'll be a one way street, Mexicos border will remain secure and we will not be allowed to pass. So Bush is being defiant, refusing to enforce the laws, holding out for the ungodly amnesty.
Funny how times change. Having an Indian Mother & Grandparents, I worked in the fields, lived in a shack, drew our water from a well, milked our cow, used the outhouse, the wood burning cast iron stove. Later our family worked in restaurants, cooking, washing dishes, etc. My Mother ironed for people, babysat and so on. Not once were we given credit for being the backbone of the nation. Nor did we get in peoples faces screaming we're doing the jobs they're to lazy to do, nor did we tell them if we left the state, their economy would crash, that they can't live without us. Nor were we ever praised or given special privileges. In fact we were looked down on. That's why all of us worked our butts off to get an education (and nothing was free). How is it that only illegals are praised for doing bottom of the barrel jobs? And we are to bow to them as if they're royalty for doing them.
I've been trying to make sense of their argument of why they should be rewarded with amnesty. They repeat over and over again: We wash your dishes, pick your fruit, watch your brats, build your houses, etc. Besides the fact that they don't do any of the above for me. Since when, if you seek out a job and get paid for it, does that make for doing anything for anyone but yourself?
Actually I wasn't aware of how big a problem or how many illegals were here until May. Seeing 500,000 people in the street and knowing that was just a drop in the bucket. I'd never heard such disrespectful evil garbage coming out of the mouths of such a large group of what appeared to be humans. The illegals slobbering their hateful racist slurs at Americans and of all places, on America's streets!
Hearing them say and seeing their signs telling Americans to leave this continent? That they're here to take it back? I didn't see innocent hungry people needing a job, I saw a bunch of revolutionaries backed by communism threatening to take our country over, as they waved their flags. A major wake-up call! If I hadn't seen that, I wouldn't be in this forum typing an answer to your question.

I live in Texas. Half the people here originally came as illegals. I don't understand all the sudden furor over immigration unless it was a smoke screen thrown up by the current administration to take people's minds off the war in Iraq.
Bush is the worst for kissing the Mexican's bottoms because he knows the economy of Texas would fail if they deported all the low payed illegals back to country of origin.
I know plenty of illegals and they are better citizens than most of the US citizens I know. I think they need another amnesty and then tighten up the border control but a fence is going to do NOTHING and cost a lot of money. They need more border agents.
