I hate to disagree with you. By what is said in the Quran and what the bible says. My believe in God is not blind faith by the way. I believe in God because is logical to have a creator. Because is logical and we can see all his signs around us, from the fruit that grows on trees to the fish that swim in the sea everything is in balance and perfection. So I will give you my respective from a belief stand point and I hope you can accept it on the premisess that I am a MUSLIM and this is my own opinion.
Bismillah Her Rahman Her Rahim!
Jesus is the son of Mary, born of a virgin without any human father. May the blessings of Allah be upon them and their family!
The reason why I disagree with you in that Jesus was the son of Joseph of Arematea are as follows:
1-) First and foremost. If you believe in God you know he says be and things just are. This is something you just know as a believer.
It happened when God created the world and when God created Adam out of dirt. Allah made us know that he was going to send Jesus PBUH to Guide hid people in the book of Daniel.
2-) It is a well known fact that Joseph and Mary were not in relations. This is wel documented by historians as well as scholars. (In Islam this person does not play a central role in the story of Jesus PBUH).
Matthew 1:25 is, however, quite explicit that Joseph could not be the father of Jesus, stating that Mary and Joseph had not had sex before Jesus was born.
Joseph's original intent, though, was to divorce Mary, once he had discovered her pregnancy, though some scholars, and most older translations, have expressed this more euphemistically, since Joseph, a man having just been described as righteous, undergoing divorce, would imply that divorce was righteous and he could have not been the father, so this throws your theory out of the way! n the Bible, Mary has a fiancé (Saint Joseph) who plays a small role, but the Qur'an does not mention this. Instead, the context of the Qur'an gives a strong impression that Jesus' birth was purely a miracle from Allah without any role of a male, and it compares him with Adam (3:59).
3-) From the Quran and other sources, we know that Mary was a virgin at the time of conception. further is stated that Jesus himself (PBUH) made clear that he was a prophet of God from the crib thus saving his mother's life. Unlike the Biblical account, Jesus performs several miracles as an infant. This is well known to all muslims. In the Qur'an Zachariah is Mary's (in Arabic: Maryam) adopted guardian, but in the Bible they are inlaws (Zachariah's wife being Mary's cousin). In both accounts, Jesus is born to Mary while she is a virgin.
4-) PROVEN: Although there were people who blame Mary of adultery (19:30-33), Allah proved them wrong. As a matter of fact and because of what I said of Joseph not playing a central role in the islamic account I want to share a little something that might shed light in this issue:
One of the clearest pieces of evidence is a divorce record from 111, entirely coincidentally between a couple named Mary and Joseph, which was found among the Dead Sea Scrolls.
Weather Joseph helped Mary raise Jesus (PBUH) or not that is another matter, But the fact is that Jesus's birth was a meracle, just as was his whole life.
Now I can site several verses from bothe the Quran and the bible, but tonight I have very bad eye infection, so I really can't sit here for too long.
May the blessings of Allah be upon you.
YOUR CASE OF JOSEPH BEING THE FATHER OF JESUS IS INVALID BECAUSE
1- Historians had said that he wanted to divorce? WHy would you do that if that is your kid?
2- The Quran does not see this person Joseph as a main character in Mary's life
3- We know about Mary's character from Surah Mariam, also from the bible. It was well known that this was a woman of purity and character, thus she would not have LIED .
4- The dead sea scroll records prove you wrong :(
I do not like to fight, but this is a pretty damn good case to prove she was a virgin....
Ps. Read the dead sea scrolls, Josephus, and a book named the live of Jesus, also read comparative studies of Jesus.
If I say something wrong let it be out of my ignorance, if I said anything right let it be from Allah.
Ameen!
thanks,
muslimah

Jesus is the son of God in that we are all children of God.
Jesus, the physical human being, was the child of Joseph and Mary. I don't believe that Mary was a virgin when she gave birth to J.C. It doesn't make sense. She slept with Joseph. Plain as that. They were husband and wife after all.
Thumbs up.

Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus is not a biological son of Joseph but he was Joseph's step son. Angel explained the parents this. It was also the Bible prophecy.
And Mary was a virgin indeed. Joseph and Mary did not consummate their marriage until Jesus was born.

First let me say that this is a very good question, and is some what hard to understand. Technically and in an earthly in an Jesus is Mary's son. But Jesus is God's son in the spiritual realm of thing, which is much bigger than anything on our physical realm and even the whole physical realm put together. I hope this helps you to understand your spiritual walk with God a little more
God Bless

Jesus is the son of God, however, only if you believe in God will u believe this story: the holy spirit planted a seed in mary, and she became pregnant with Jesus. Even though Jesus became Human he existed before mankind, that you can read in John 1.1. He was there when God created the world. Gen: 1 God says we, and lets... But only if you have faith will you believe this, because its supernatural and not easy to accept,
