God is greater in power and rules over good, but Satan is greater in cruelty and rules over evil. When you say greater, you have to give a specific thing to be greater at. I would have to go with God because Satan is not the nicest Chicken McNugget, if you know what I mean...

"There is only God. There is not that which God hath not made." John Chapter 1, verse 3. So if there were a satan - God made it too.
I always think there is God and then there is religion - the nearest thing to "satan" humans can devise.

a greater what? invisible entity? how do measure such a thing?
if you're going by what the Bible says God certainly did "greater" damage and certainly caused a "greater" number of human deaths and shows a "greater" propensity for violence, cruelty, lies and hypocrisy. all Satan did was tempt (and always at God's behest). God committed the mass killing of an entire planet full of living beings ... innocent human babies included.

even though i dont believe in the Church God....
satan is not as powerfull, it is just an "angel" and not the representation of evil....
that makes me wonder, if there is a balance of good and bad in the universe. then either god has both good and bad sides, or there is another entity as powerful as god but evil??
hmmmm,,, since i am no longer a catholic, i no longer try to answer that.
