Gasoline/Petrol - same deal, same type, same thing.
In the UK 95 octane isn't brilliant for regular cars, and NOT advised for anything a bit special.. like for instance a Skyline.
Low octane gives high risk of detonation.. (VERY bad..)
From a quick bit of research my end, it appears that 93 octane there is better quality than our 98 octane (Welcome to the UK...)
As well as the links below, I would advise getting in touch with your local/national Skyline Owners Club, as they'll have lots of advice for you such as:
What to do if your Skyline is running higher than stock boost, and doesn't have an Intercooler fitted,
Which Spark plugs will give the the least risk of deonation.
And a whole host of other items which go way beyond my scope, and beyond the scope of mere fuel considerations..

As previously stated, they call it petrol where we call it gasoline. All that is on there for is so that you don't put diesel in it. Had it been a diesel car, it would have had the word diesel on it. So go ahead and drive it up to your favorite gas station and stick the regular gasoline nozzle in it and fill it up. Gasoline grades in the U.K. are about the same or maybe a little bit lower than here. The car may even run a little better on our gas than theirs. I understand your confusion, but you have no need for worries. The same with oil. Change the oil to a good quality oil such as Valvoline and you will have the same or better lubricating properties as what the engine is used to. Happy motoring!

You should put 92 octane or higher in the car. It will prevent knocking and make the car run smoother and a little faster.
Petrol is the same as Gas, just be careful driving on the wrong side of the car.

If it is turbocharged you will have to use 91 octane or higher. Fuel in europe has slightly higher octane than we here in USA get.
