No…you don’t use food or food supplements to lose body fat. Unless you’ve been brainwashed by the diet food industry that surely do not want you to get thin and they lose a customer. Just tea is a huge diuretic so you lose tons of water and dehydrate (oohh, I’m so happy, I lost weight on some scale!) so what happens when you rehydrate? You’ll regain your water weight. If you replace meals with crappy protein shakes...that btw, your body should reject, if you were healthy and puke them out along with the fake sugars, conservatives, artificial coloring/flavors they contain and the added vitamins/minerals that your body cannot even absorb at they don't come with the food they're supposed to be in (blame human evolution or Mother Nature which usually provides the right food with the right vitamins/minerals so you can absorb them). You SHOULD eat enough calories to cover your BMR or your body WILL adapt to a low caloric intake and LOWER your metabolism, making it very HARD for you to use your body fat. And then, as soon as you would eventually start eating normally again, you would make body FAT very easily, because you would have a lower metabolism and therefore REGAIN all the weight you lost and keep going up, unless you exercise A LOT. Also, if you’re younger than 21, you need to eat more when having a growth spurt so you don’t stunt your growth (you get ravenous). Your goal is to lose 40lbl, whatever that is…40lbs would be 3,500 x 40 = 140,000 calories of exercising, providing that you eat enough to at least cover your BMR (+ growth if you’re -21yo) so you don’t send your metabolism down the drain and regain the weight you lost later on (and then some with a low metabolism). The best rate of body fat loss as to not regain it (I said body fat loss, I did not say total body weight loss on a scale as you might need to GAIN muscle mass if you’re out of shape) is half a pound/week = 1,750 calories of exercising = 80 weeks (140,000/1750 = 80)…that would take about a year and a half. Do it faster and the wrong way, you won’t have enough energy to exercise easily and efficiently and you’ll regain whatever weight you lose while messing up your metabolism further down and be part of the 95% of people who are unsuccessful losers, not meaning that you’re a winner, just that you cannot maintain your weight loss as you’ll regain it. If you live in the US, you’ll stay or spring back in the statistical 70% of people who are overweight (80% by the year 2030). The successful losers (the 5%) usually are not in denial when they have 10 pounds to lose (I did once, took me 7 months to lose it, easy, breathy, just eating better and exercising more) and do not wait until they have 40 pounds to lose. But there is still hope for you if you do it my way but just will take you four times longer but I’m sure it would be worth it…unless you mess up your metabolism.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Yes, the herbalife diet is verygood. Eating foods from basic food groups is very important but the supplementation of person's diet is also very important. Our food industry has deleted many of the essential nutrients neccesary for good health. I am a former bodybuilding competitor and currently taking a creatine complex to aid my training.
Portion control and metabolism stimulationis what is needed in an overall healthy behavioral pattern.

These products are too expensive. My husband used to sell Eola products and they are basically the same, but when you stop using them you end up gaining back the weight. The best thing to do is to cut out junk food and eat all FRESH foods....fresh veggies, meats, fruits, not canned, or processed. Exercise, exercise, exercise. Keep junk food to an absolute minimum. Don't even buy it.
