I agree.
I was so fascinated and drawn into the movie, I actually looked up Opus Dei in Wikipedia and read all about them...

I didn't care for the nudity of Silas (I think) in the movie though...

Screw the Da Vinci Code. Xenosaga has a similar issue regarding religion (Mary Magdaline n whatnot) but unlike the Da Vinci Code, it doesn't have such crappy writing.

Loved the book; Hated the movie, fell asleep three times. Maybe one of the most boring movies adapted from an exciting book, ever. maybe. And I mean 'action' exciting, not necessarily 'intellectually' exciting. There is no way to prove that
hypothesis. It is neat to let your mind wonder to other possibilities but when thought out it doesn't even really matter. If you are a believer you will continue to be one and if you aren't you will take no disagreeable idea as the truth.

It certainly was very thought provoking, but the book was way better. Don't rely on just the movie for the entire story. The novel has a lot of background and detailed information that the movie just can't capture.

I was disappointed in the movie, as I thought the book was so much better--couldn't put it down! I guess knowing so much from the book spoiled the movie for me, but I do not think I would have understood the movie very well if I hadn't read the book.

I enjoyed it enough to see it twice at the theater, read the book 3 times and buy the soundtrack. Great movie, entertaining, edge of your seat excitement. Don't know if I believe any of it, but I certainly don't dispute it either.

I thought it was very entertaining. I was on the edge of my seat for the majority of the film, i even jumped a few times.
Though i thought everything about the monk was very disgusting, especially when he was whipping himself and killed himself.
I was late when i originally saw it in theaters and i came in at the original whipping scene.

I enjoyed the movie, but I enjoyed the book even better. It just seemed as though there wasn't enough time to squeeze everything into the time restraints of the movie.
