That is so weird, cause I did the same thing for a long time....off
and on. It was intermitent. I never knew when it was going to
happen. But here is what I went thru....I would be sleeping and
start to feel my body shaking (inside) and vibrating, like voltage.
Then I would wake up with my hearbeating real fast. And then I'd
feel weak, It was so awful. I finally went to see a cardiologist, &
got a cardiogram done. They saw nothing unusual. I assume it
was stress. And my body was reacting to it, in that way. So, I
don't know, but get checked anyway. It could be stress, or it may
be something else. If it is stress, it will take time for it to go away
as long as you try to reduce it. There are things you can do to
help yourself de-stress....get some info on that from your doc,&
look on the internet....get a check up first....Take Care

I'll answer this by saying this also happens to me and my daughter and we do not take drugs either...
Go to a doctor and tell them what is happening...I think it is probably your heart speeding up at night during a dream that causes it but I can't be sure you need to be checked out by the doctor....

If you're twitching it just means that your muscles are relaxing from the day. My boyfriend does the same, to the point of hitting me pretty hard in his sleep. Try stretching before going to bed.

Your body is supposed to be paralyzed when you are in deep dreaming..sounds like you are just close to waking and so is your body..
A cheap fix is check out a chiropractor in case you have a pinched nerve.
