If Jesus is God, he could die because he took physical form, meaning he was subject to the restrictions of a mortal being thus he could suffer, and die.
Though it is generally believed that Jesus did have the power to overcome his situation.
Raising from the dead:
If he was the messiah, he was supposed to descend to the earth and bring David and the Jews into heaven. Then he was raised from the dead, though I don' t think it specifically says God took this action.
Trinity:
There is a sect in Christianity that does not follow the belief in the trinity.
Making sense:
Also, when it comes to beliefs, and especially religious beliefs, making sense (in my experience) is not a priority to explore.

He could die because he was fully God and fuly man at the same time.
God the Father , raised God the Son through the power of God the Hoy Spirit.
The Trintiy does make sense.
St. Patrick used the illustration of the Shamrock showing the ignorant Irish that just as the Shamrock had three leaves it was still one Shamrock.
Others I know use the illustration of the egg. The one egg has three seperate parts ( white, yolk & shell) that have three seperate functions (chick, food & protection) and yet it is one egg.
There are many other illustrations in nature that show us three-in-one.

I'm a christian, but.. let's say - not crazy one;) And I understand all dubts, I have lots of myslef, but that is only the case of believeing, not the logic or sth. We still can't proove many things in the world, but we still believe ... Have you seen the atom? My friend, when she was 14, didn't believe in planets and earth going round (for her, the earth was in the middle, etc - like before Copernicus:), cause she didn't see the proof.
Yes, he was dead because in a half (which is a lot!) he was a normal human like we are. That's why it just made sens - he had to have a normal body to suffer like a man so that we could imagine that. Yes, he died and, what's more, he went to the hell!;) Remember?
And the reason - NOOOOO, you haven't discovered the reason of people walking away.. It's just that church tend to be opressive, people want to be free, etc. Believe me, there is more reasons to quit it... If you don't really believe...

Yes a lot of people can not understand this but with God all things are possible.God is bigger than any one of us can imagine, or even think
And when you think about how He made the Earth and all that was in it.
and the heaven and all that is in it . and The whole universe then that in its self is amazing. God can make anything possible when we Think that its impossible God can always find away, and i have seen this for my self
and i know that it is true
Jesus does love you

Gads! Research before you ask!
Jesus was (is) the Son of God! He chose to give His life that we (even you) might have the opportunity to have the chance of life (forever) in Heaven!
Jesus was not here to start a new religion! He came to us to show us The Way! To set an example for us! Are you that blind? Six year olds have a better understanding than you do!
I am not trying to be rude! However, you need to speak with someone who knows about Christianity - (a priest or minister or other adult who can set you straight). You (at the moment) have it all wrong!
Blessings! I pray for you!

Jesus was in Human form when he died! He may die since he's mortal! And the three Gods in one thing is the Holy Trinity they work as one ! Not literally that they're 1 body or something like that.
Man was sinful during Jesus time and in order to save us God chose his son Jesus to die in order to save us. How you may ask? All of mans sin was taken by Jesus so by that time he was the most sinful man for 3 days he suffered in hell just to save us for our sins. After that God raised him from the dead!
It's a vvery majestic thing to do cause lets say you have a son and pretend that ur ian a situation inorder to save others u must sacrifice ur son! That's why the Holy trinity is so powerful

Yes Jesus is God, but He also came from God. He may have been born from Mary's womb but all that was from God. Jesus's DNA if it was from today, would be all God. It has none of Mary's or Joseph's. And the trinity thing might be confusing but only if u really have faitha dn u ask God to understand, u can. Okay, let me try to explain it as best as i can: The trinity consist sof three in one. Like an apple, the core, the white part and the peel on the outisde. U can't call it an apple if it doesn't ahve any of those three things.
A better one is water, ice and steam. Figure how that would work. They all are H20, but they are different in form. God is different in form but all the forms are one. The Father, God, the Son, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. God is in His throne now. But for God to understand why man sin and to sympathize with us when we do sin and to understand our nature of sin, He made Jesus which is Him but in human form, but Jesus is His son cuz He came from hte Holy Spirit. And also, when we are in church adn we feel the presence of the Lord, that is the Holy Spirit. God can't be there, no one has seen God before. But Jesus can't be there either cuz Jesus' time to come to Earth is not here yet, and so the Holy Spirit is the only way. But that is still God. God is just here in our presence EVERDAY but in Holy Spirit form, that is why we don't see Him, but we may feel Him. Esp at the times when we are truly worshipping Him and calling Him.
I am trying to put this easier. But u just have to remember that God is in three forms. God (Father), is in Heaven right no, setting up the new Heaven for His chosen ones, and Jesus (Son), is God made into human form for the early times for people to see God in human form. And the holy spirit is God also but in spirit form, where u can just feel the strong, very strong, loving and caring presence when u are praising Him.
I really hope, to God that i made this easier for u. I really am trying to help anyone who is confused about this subject especially. I just hope that u can turn to God and ask Him for wisdom and courage adn help on ur faith. Please turn to God adn give Him ur life. He really deserves it. U don't know how much He deserves. But i am hoping that today, at this very moment u decided to choose God as ur personal Savior adn Lord. God Bless.

Dear Glib, I would like to answere these questions in order.
1) Jesus (God) died because he became incarnate in a human body, God himself cannot die because he is a soul, but once he became a human then he was bale to suffer and die.
2) It wasnt only his Body that died, the BIble say's Jesus's soul also died. The BIble says in the Gospels that Jesus sul aslo suffered death (seperation from God). His Physical Body died and his soul suffered the fate of those who di in there sins aslo, so yes, I disagree when peple say that "Only his body died".
3.) Jesus maid it very clear i the Gospels, that he would lay down his Life and "take it up again" after three days in the tomb. Jesus himself said that No one took his life from him, rathr he has the power to ay it down and take it up again. if he is God, why wouldnt he be able to do this, think aout it, He raised others from the dead, what would stop him from raising himself?
4) No. the reason People "walk away" from chrisitanity, is because whn someone becomes a chrisitan he admists he is rong and has sinned against a Holy God and needs forgiveness. people walk away from Chrisitanity because of Pride. the person who dosent want to admit there guit before God will never understand the true fogiveness of Chist.
5) I feel the need to inphasize that I blive God is One. the BIble says "ther Lord your God is one, you shall love the lord with allyur heart mind soul and stregnth." there is no doubt the BIble speaks of one God. The Trinitarian creedal Language about God existing in "three persons" does not literally mean that there are three "people" who are God Rather, it is simply a Shorthand way of saing tha God eternally exist in thre personally distinct ways. Who would deny that God is capable of that? After all God is Omniprescent Omnipotent and omniscent.
The real question we should be asking is "Why did Jesus Die on the cross for us? " I would like to explain by asking yo a few questions..........
Have you ever lied (even once--fibs, white lies, etc.)? Ever stolen (anything--the value is irrelevant)? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you ever looked with lust? If you have said "Yes" to these three questions, by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart; and the BIble says "he who hates his brother is a Murderer." (1 John). have you ever hated someone? if you have said yes to all of these, by your own admission your a lying theiving Murderous adulterer at heart, and that how God see's you and you must face HIm on the day of Judgement. If God Judged you by this standard today, would you be innocent or guilty? Listen to your conscience. You know that you will be guilty, and therefore end up in Hell. You may say "I dont belive in Hell", But all around us are Harsh Laws, if you Jumped out of an airplane at 30,000 feet, it wont matter How nice you are, or How much you "belive" you can fly, it wont change reality and you will face the consequences. It wont matter what you belive, you will still have to face God on the day of Judgement and you have a multitude of sins. I wouldnt pay all the money in the world to be in your shoes on Judgement day. Your in huge trouble. But there is Incredibly good news, That’s not God’s will. He provided a way for you and I to beforgiven.
He sent His Son to take our punishment: "God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." He was bruised for our iniquities. Jesus then rose from the dead and defeated death.
Your own so-called “goodness” can’t get you into heaven any more than mine could. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. He is the "Door," the only "mediator." There is salvation in no other name and If you will repent (turn from sin) and place your faith and trust in Jesus, God will forgive you of al sin and grant you the gift o everlasting life. Then read your Bible daily and obey what it say's. God will never let you down.
God Bless

"..By my Father.." r the words Emanuel used wen asked how the miracles took place, wot he could do best was PRAY, asking his Father 4 his will 4 the day. He was therefore mortal but was 1 with his Father, much like the budhist askin the hotdog vendor 2 make him 1 with everything.
