You do not need to become a nurse first. The PA is typically masters level work, so if you do not have a bachelors degree you will likely have to complete one before going to school to be a PA. If you've already finished a bachelors degree then check with the schools in your area that offer a PA program to see what their entry requirements are. You may have to take a few more classes or you may be ready to go.

Of course. Anyone can become a Physicians Assistant, however you DO have to go to school for it. You must be certified by the state you reside in just like you did when you became and EMT-B then again when you became an EMT-P.

Four years of pre-med studies then take the MCATs. Your work experience, while looking good on a resume will have nothing to do with your acceptance. They only care about grades. You will not have time to study properly if doing pre-med and medical school correctly to be a full time EMT or PA...the hours are long and unpredictable.
