I've heard of making a drink using fruit skins, water and sugar, leave in a bottle for about a month and then drink, but I can't imagine it tastes much good. Does anyone know of a good home made drink? Every other site I visited has recipies that require distillation and complicate things with talking about enzimes and the like.

Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know of a good home made drink? Every other site I visited has recipies that require distillation and complicate things with talking about enzimes and the like. I'm talking about making the alcohol myself here, not buying an alcoholic drink and mixing it with something else, home made alcohol.

Thanks in advance.

you can make home brew and it is very good if you do it right .i make wine at home grow my own graped. you crush the grapes and put them into a coarse sack made from material from a cloth store. first put the sack into a barrel then put in grapes close bag then add one gallon of water to each gallon of grapes then dissolve two pounds of sugar for each gallon of grapes and water you put in the barrel. add a couple packs of brewers yeast then put an air lock on the barrel making sure its air tight and no gnats can get into the wine. after three days take the sack out of the barrell and discard the fruit. then add back some water to fill the space that the grapes left . let it fermint for at least a month. keep the barrell in the dark and cool place abour 68 degrees f. when you start the grapes do not fill the barrell to full because it will rise up when it starts to work.the best barrell is a used whiskey barrell it gives the wine a good taste, you should taste the wine each week to make sure its not getting too sour. if it does add sugar to suit the taste good luck and do not become a wino

I once found a nifty recipe for Kaluha on the net. It uses vodka, but takes very little 'expertise' and you end up with a pretty fair product. YOu might try googling for it.

You can do what they do in prison, and take like orange juice and put it in a dark warm corner, or closet for over a month, and it ferments!! Then you can get drunk off it.. it is DISGUSTING... but hey that's the only insight I have LOL! Good luck!
