Love them. I only have 5 so far (7 times in the chair with 2 coverups)................. 2 of which are dedicated to my mom who has passed away.

Tats, when chosen for a reason, are a great thing. For so many people, it signifies something stronger than just "I have a tattoo, I'm cool now." Since my teens, I had always wanted one, but held off until I knew the time was right. I got my tattoo at 29...I didn't want to just get anything and at the time of my life, getting the tattoo was like a sign of freedom for me from a bad marriage. My father was 40 when he got his tattoo! Again as long as they are tasteful and represent something person to the one getting it, its a great way of expression.

"
I think that they are a wast i mean I see it like this you get a tatoo then50 years down the road it's hanging there with your sagging skin and so that pretty much was a big wast unless you want to look like a ugly hag.....then I think there awesome. "

some people are so idiotic when it comes to tattoos!!

do you have your ears pierced? well if you do you are a hypocrite. have you seen what they look like when you get older - eugh

i think tattoos are amazing - if you design them yourself and spend a lot of time finding a good artist and talking to them - then your tattoo can be the most amazing thing ever

i have a full sleeve (a tattoo that goes all the way around and down your arm) and i love it - everytime i see it it makes me smile.
i have had a lot of odd reactions to it - especially from small minded little people (see the person i quoted) but it does not matter because i am happy with it

yes when you are older if will sag and the colour will fade, but it is like anything else on your body - your skin will still sag tattoo or not!

what is the point in waiting until you are 60 with your sagging ugly skin that you have to cover anyway..and thinking in the back of your mind that you wished you had got that tattoo

tattoos are permanent they are a choice for life - if you opt for a large one like me they WILL change your life and how people treat you and look at you!
but i do not think that matters... do what makes you feel like you

my arm looked wrong to me before - with my tattoo i feel complete!

I like body art in general. I've seen some bad tattoos though and I've seen some really awesome ones as well.

Wow, this question made some people grouchy! I have three tattoos and if you don't like them then you don't have to look at them. All of mine are placed so that they can be easily covered. Out of respect, I cover my tats if I know the people around me disagree with them. But really, people need to get over it. I love all of mine and I will get more.

It creates a negative first impression on me honestly. But I have known many cool people who prove my first impressions wrong. But just being honest that my first impression is that the tatoo is trying to compensate for something.

They are great provided that you take the time to figure out what you want instead of going out on a whim to get one...this way there are no regrets.
