I just watched a program on Nova about a family in Turkey where four of the siblings walk on there hands instead of up right. I don't know where they get there strength. The father say's it's just a test from God and he's keeping the faith. They are a strog Musslim family with nineteen siblings. Four of them walk that way. I won't go into detail about the sicentist and there theries. But as the program wore on they started to stand upright and weekly walk. They will no doubt get better at it. They were not babys but grown ups. At the end of the show you could see the father smiling, like he new it all along. Just trust in God. How can somebody have such a strong faith. I call myself a believer in God but I truly don't know if my faith could stand that test. I guess my question is, how can one get such strong faith?

JP I didn't want to bore every body with all the details, but they did all kinds of tests and brain scans and then somebody suggested a walker to see if they could be taught. They lived in a small village and nobody thought of it before. They struggled but are starting to walk a little now It took months of trying.

When you go through so many trials in the past, and God brings you out of it, it makes your faith stronger. Usually people with a strong faith have been through severe trials and hardships. Some people give up with hardships, don't put due with God, or forget about God once they are delivered. But for people who keep faith during hard times and bad and don't give up always add strength to their faith. Don't worry, work to please God and when he tests you, keep your faith. After several of these incidents, you too will be a strong believer. But it is not an easy path. I watched it too and was very impressed with the family's faith.

Thank you for reminding me of faith, I'm going through a test right now.

Muslims believe that Ishmael (instead of Issac) was almost sacrificed by Abraham per God's order. God intervened at the last moment. Same faith applies for the 4 kids who're walking on all 4's.

they Love God and trust in his will and believe that every thing is a Test from God.

Hand-walking can be done by just about anyone who trains for it. Some little kid did it in the movie 'Beaches'. i doubt she thought she was some kind of mystic.
