Hormel's chart says about 2-3 days. Butterball's chart says one day per every 4 pounds. The USDA says one day per 5 pounds. Because I know my refrigerator thaws slowly, I always aim for the top end of that range. I check the turkey the night before, and if it's still icy, I decide how long I want to put it in cold water for.

About 3-4 days for a complete thaw.

to thaw plan on 24 hours for every 5 lbs.
you can thaw one by placing it in the sink and placing cold water over it to cover. change the water every 30 minutes, allow around 30 minutes per lb to thaw.
so a 10 lb turkey would take 2 days.

In a refrigerator plan for at least 24 hours per 5 pounds, so about 48 hours is what is needed.

It is and always will be 2 days for a bird up to 14 or so lbs. Make sure you put a drip pan with it as well so you prevent the possibility of a nasty "juicy" refridgerator.

Happy Turkey Day and hope you have a great bird
