I own a Dell Inspiron laptop with windows XP. It has plenty enough ram, disk space, graphics capabilities, etc. to run the games i have been trying to run. Reinstallation doesnt work and the generic windows error message pops up as soon as the game switches to full screen. This has happened with Splinter Cell: double agent as well as Battlefield Vietnam. However, it plays Morrowind Oblivion perfectly fine which is a much more demanding game. I realize im trying to run desktop games on a laptop but i figured it would work anyways. are there any steps i can take to resolve this? or anything i might need to download in order to make my system compatable? all my drivers and my operating system are up to date. the only issue is the initial startup of these programs. any ideas?

the error message is just the generic XP error saying:
bfvietnam.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

If you can run Oblivion, I'm guessing you have an ATi Mobility Radeon X300?

Its not exactly a high end card, but some high end games might work on low settings, others might crash.

See if you can find any patches for the games with the problems.

unsure precisely what your project is, although in case you have a steel paper clip, seem at your Cd-Romchronic and you will see fairly hollow with connection with the scale of the diameter of a paper clip. Straighten out an end of the paper clip so as that it stands out like a pin. heavily insert that pin end of the paper clip into the hollow ninety tiers to thechronic conceal, as at as quickly as away as obtainable. Slowly push it in and be arranged for thechronic door to open pushing up against your hands. enable it to open and out comes yourchronic. it rather works fairly than a defective button. good fulfillment
