These spells work only because you think they do. When people get sick, they usually get better. Saying your spells helped is very self-serving to your ego. Psychology 101.

Why do Christians waste their time believing in some bearded bloke that allegedly used magic spells to cure people, produced food from nowhere, turned water to wine?

Any ritual or belief from any religion and no religion can be used in two ways: to further the sense of self and ego or to reduce it and progressively lead to a more spiritual participation in life. So ... if the magic spells, healing crystals and other things are used in a literal way where one thinks they affect others, then it's about the self/ego. Same thing as if someone is praying to God for a parking spot. Neither of it is wrong and can be helpful as a start to get into a spiritual perspective but ultimately progress should be made to where these things become means to an end, with the end being the reduction of one's self-centeredness.

I don't consider my religion to be a "trend". But I think I understand what you mean. I tire of the Playgans (that's what we call them) who are in the Craft to be cool and hip. Many people take this religion very seriously. I am one of those people.

I don't consider my spells to be a waste of time, since they have positive results on the people I cast them on. My sister is now a proud parent, and my good friend is no longer suffering from depression. These are two people I've done spells on and they are now happier people partly because of my hard work.

I hope you are able to open your mind and realize that Wicca is not a trend. It's a religion. While I don't believe you must convert to it, please try and do a little research on it. Not only will you learn something new, but hopefully you'll find a newfound respect for those who practice it.

Blessed be, sister.

We don't consider these things to be a waste of time and we are not desperate for anything. We're not the ones who judge and we're not so insecure with ourselves or our religion that we have to ridicule, defile or defame someone else's beliefs that differ from our own. We don't go out and try to convert people to our faith. We believe that everyone has the right to find their own spiritual path. We respect other's their choices and we ask the same from them.

Why does anyone have to resort to asking questions in such a dereogatory fashion? I mean, unless you were really trying to make someone mad, I assume you know how to ask a question without sounding so condescending.

You're stereotyping Wiccans. Check these people out. many of them are Wiccan, and one of their pet causes is helping the homeless.

Who are you to judge what they waste their time on? Maybe they think you waste your time.

If it gives them happiness and doesn't harm you, mind your own business.

Why do people waste time asking questions, when they don't care about the answer?
