My boyfriend told me most people fantasize about someone other than who they are with, because otherwise it would not be a 'fantasy' in the true sense. Just wondering if this really was the norm. Are fantasies then something to keep to yourself? I think I would get jealous if I knew my bf was dreaming of someone else.

Not only is it normal, it is relatively healthy.

Everyone has "fantasy's". If two people are in a good relationship, they should verbally relay those ideas to each other and then act them out. Otherwise, the entire relationship will become stagnate and unsatisfying.

Communication is key. You need to work on first having a healthy mental relationship.... then the physical will be more enjoyable.

Yes, it is normal. That is what makes it a fantasy. Of course, it's one thing to fantasize about a movie star or celebrity that you're likely never to meet, let alone be with. It's something else to fantasize about your b/f or g/f's best friend, etc.

Just remember, it is better, to have him there fantasizing about somebody else, and be there with you. He could be with them thinking about you. And its seems like a common thing. (as long as everybody keeps there secret to themself, nobody would care) Fantasy's are one and onlys secret. I have been married, over 20 years. and its nothing to fantasize about a "HOT" girl, I met, or saw. (shhh, that's my private secret) And it may make your love making a little better also. So let him fantasize, and don't be afraid to fantasize about me, or somebody else. (but don't tell anybody). Have a good night, time to go Fantasize...........lol.....

It is common, but shouldn't be shared. Now that you know, that part of your relationship has been damaged.....there is lack of trust. Is it betrayal......not quite, but now you'll wonder "is he really into me or someone else? Can you overcome that? Chances are you also have a fantasy....but now you know to keep your mouth shut.
