just tell him. if he rejects you it's his loss and you should move on.

If you know he's moved on and has a girlfriend and he probably will reject you then why ask for heartache. Maybe you should move on too! IF not, then the best way is always the direct way. I'd write him a letter and ask him to give you a call. Say you'd like to speak to him but do NOT tell him why. Then, if HE calls you, then you know at least he cares a little bit about you. But don't get too excited until he says that he still wants you too! Maybe it will work but it's a long shot! LOL

If by "going out" you mean "married" let it be.
If you don't mean married then be discreet - phone him "just to say hello" and go fishing - check the tone in his voice, his responses, his attitude.
If he is aloof or uses words like "myeh", "pfft" or "whatever"... you can correctly assume he's not interested.
Throw him a line, bait him. Tell him in your own words how he helped you smile while you were dating and wait for a response - then weigh it.
Remember that if you start slamming the girl he is dating that will be like saying he makes bad choices - if he starts to believe you think he makes bad choices - he isn't going to want to be around you.
Guys like to believe they have it all figured out - or at least believe that a woman thinks he has it all figured out.
If he still answers with a "whatever" tone in his voice - that is your answer.
Rejection is nothing.
Not trying and regretting - there is where the pain lay.
Then again.. "wannaplaytoo2001'"'s answer is short and will get you the best results! (i haven't enough points to rate that one - but it is the best)

Sounds like he has already rejected you. Move on. No use going over what can't be.

If you really, really want to, write him a letter. So it's 'out there' he can think about it, and he'll know how you feel. if he doesn't respond or says no, you have to move on.
