Short Answer=Yes
Why?
Because usually cross country teams are smaller than other teams and we are togeather all the time so you get a really tight bond. Like by the end of our season this year pretty much all of us are really good friends, you might have one or two bad apples but still cross country is great. Also I find long runs to be really relaxing because you can either screw around with your friends on the team, or if you want you can just run by your self which I found once in a while was a great way to clear your head. Also meets are alot of fun, and most of the time the coaches let you screw around alot before/after your races(unless its a big race). So my suggestion is definately go out for the team.

I prefer crosscountry running to road racing and running on a track. The reason is you're running on grass, which is probably the most forgiving surface to run in terms of wear and tear on your body. It's cool because you get your exercise, and you can get to see some beautiful scenery on the way, so that's another
added benefit. Another benefit is the extremely cute runners of the opposite sex you may see.

Yes, it's super awesome as long as you invite a friend to do it with you. You also get a hot body at the same time. I stunk, but I still had loads of fun.
Also I should know that all cross country girls are HOT! ;)

cross country was the best decision of my life. You get into such great shape and you become friends with people you never would have thought. well...it beats running around in circles for practice.

I ran cross country in high school and I thought it was cool. Nothing is wrong with good competition and good exercise.

I love to cross country run! It's such a passion for so many people, and I'm definitely one of them. I love the feeling of running, free from all the problems of the world; just running. Your legs get numb and you can't feel them after awhile, but I love that feeling. It's like you don't even control them anymore, and you can't stop them. I love to just run until I phyically can't run anymore, it gives me such a rush of adrenaline. I always feel great after a long run. I miss it so much because I haven't been able to run since my knee surgery. It's great exercise, and if you love it, it can become a great part of your life.
