I thought it was called the "Global War on Terrorism." Recently I have seen "Long War" becoming more popular in the media.

It is the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT).
Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) is just that, an operation, which has been completed. OIF Ended when we liberated Iraq.
Whoever gave me a "thumbs down" is a moron. This information is accurate, just because you might not like the answer does not make it a wrong answer.

"war that no other country wants to deal with, every country agrees with, but everyone excepting the U.S. (minus liberals who voted for the funding before, but changed their minds later) wants to run away from, has no foreseeable ending, and is now critical in keeping kooks like Iran from nuking the U.S., Israel, or any other country they have a problem with".......war.
