I agree that science provides a common language and frame of references, to define and prove phenomena, so that people can agree on truth, solve problems, and improve life on earth.

However, for people who don't need to understand science to operate, or don't require proof to believe, this may not be necessary.

I think of all things, "love" rules the world. If we don't love each other, or love the truth, we wouldn't care about science or care to use wisely to make the world a better place. So the only way science, or anything else on this planet, has any significance to human life is if there is love to share it with.

After Abelard, Before Heloise
Ode to a Christian Logician

I wonder if clever Aristotle
Ever fumbled a baby bottle
In the dark of night, while the infant cried,
Only to hear those cries subside
At the breast of a mother nursing her child
To the tune of a runic lullaby.

I ask the world's astrologers
Who map the heavens above:
How many of your philosophers
Have ever been in love?

I also wonder if Thomas Aquinas
Ever pondered or stopped to define as
Simple a concept as "cuddly" or "cute"
Beyond what scholars could refute!

Go ask the great astronomers
Who count the stars and such:
How many Saints could quantify
The impact of a woman's touch?

Some critics pick on feminists,
Saying they need a "good night kiss."
When I read books as dry as this,
I wonder whose point is being missed!

If, after Einstein, mass is proved
Energy more slowly moved,
There is no need to separate
Thought from motion, Church from State,
Jew from Gentile, God from truth,
Earth from Heaven, faith from proof.
Natural laws and fate are one,
And that's my "Summa Contra None."

If my words you understand,
You're worthy to be called a man;
Or, better yet, profess my fault
To prove you're worth your Mass in salt!

It is NOT denied. Science is looked at completely differently as it is interpreted through Holy Scripture.

Oh yeah, science is great. It's given us the nuclear bomb; transsexuals; designer chemical weapons of mass destruction; pollution of our air, water and land; and the ability to kill our unborn children with little risk to the mother. All of this at a bare minimum of cost to Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Taxpayer. Get real, sport.

Science rules. Rules what?

Science is limited in scope. So it is very simple to deny your statement. Answer my question above, and if your answer is too broad, I'll provide a counter-example.

So who made the laws of science? Are not 'miracles' the exception to the rule(s) (of science)??

Very Punny :) I almost missed that one.

Yes, science is about finding out the rules that govern our universe.
Very clever.

Science is great, but there's still some false science out there. When you get right down to it. How do we know everything we know? We made the Sh*t up.

What does that have to do with religion? Most religious people do not doubt sicence, or the fact that it "rules." You lost me here.

If you say there is no God, how come you refer to Hell in your Answers handle? Hell is theory of Christianity, if you do not believe in God, Hell is as real as Never Never Land.

Oh I forgot, You're An Idiot.

Because people follow Lord God and Jesus Christ. Some CHristians can beleive in science, just not the 'Big Bang' and the 'Evolution'. These are just scientists who just want to fit things in, explain the unexplanable. Well FYI, the answer is God.
