Vitamin C 1000mg morning and night (2 times a day).
Lots of garlic (natural antibiotic).
Cayenne pepper (chili pepper) will help loosen stuffy nose, but then you'll have lots of nasal drainage.
Peppermint also helps clear a stuffy head. Steaming water, add peppermint extract or peppermint candies to melt, place head over water with towel draped over your head to hold in the steam and breathe it in - sort of like a vaporizer.

Go to the pharmacy and get some Zicam
http://www.zicam.com/
If you are going by plane take a Vicks inhaler and take a decongestant pill a few minutes before you take off. The thing you want to prevent is the congestion backing up in your ears and blowing a hole in your ear drum. (been there done that so many times I now have it down to a science) Flying is very hard on the ears and they never seem to get the plane cabin pressure right.
You can also get those waxy ear plugs and put them in your ears to avoid a bursting eardrum.
If you sniff the Vicks inhaler while the plane is taking off and just before it lands it will open up your nose and help the mucus not to backup in your ears.
