Hebrews 1;2Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Proverbs 8; 22The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. 23I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. 24When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water. 25Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth: 26While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world. 27When he prepared the heavens, I was there:30Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him; 31Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.

It's gr8 to get answers with scriptures in them. Also John 5; 26 and 27 shows that God gave Jesus authority and life.

Dave , u offer no scriptural proof for your reasonings. Yes, Jesus was filled with Holy Spirit, but so were many in the Bible such as Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist. The Bible talks about sacred secrets but which one is concerning the trinity?
For stephen who is the person talking in proverbs 8 and don't say wisdom, cause it doesn't have a personality. Why are there 2 Lords at Psalm 110; 1?

PKDEPP, that wasn't an answer at all. U've cut and pasted that same lengthy post on several other questions. I gave 2 verses and can give many more. Those long lists of scriptures don't really prove a point. For example at Mark 1; 11 the voice says " You are my Son, the beloved, I have approved you."
If Jesus was God , why would He need approval or beloved by the Father? I was hoping for an original answer, but for many the Trinity is so confusing that they can't explain it themselves.

Not all that many know about Pro 8.
That one shows Jesus existed before his earthly life. An opinion most differ with.
Anyway, he as been appointed to rule and judge. To sit on God's throne.
Also, he was created and worships God. However, he was instrumental in creating all things.
And when things are accomplished, he returns all back to God.

1Co 15:24 Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power.
1Co 15:25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.
1Co 15:26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
1Co 15:27 For "God has put all things in subjection under his feet." But when it says, "all things are put in subjection," it is plain that he is excepted who put all things in subjection under him.
1Co 15:28 When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that God may be all in all.

Jesus us the physical manifestation of God for mankind. Jesus was filled with the Spirit. He was the culmination of what people refer to as the Trinity. There is no less important part, since each is the same, but differrent embodiments. Had there been people present to witness creation and had they been capable of seeing the presence of God during creation, they most assuredly would have seen the face of Jesus...God could not die on a cross, but the physical vessel He inhabited could perish without universal breakdown. The Son (temporal embodiment) served the Father (eternal embodiment)

In my opinion, this slight of hand trick by God is the most amazing feat on record, right next to the resurrection of course...
The very idea is so simple yet complex that the whole world seems to be just scratching their heads trying to understand.
His Foolishness is Far greater than our wisdom.

i'M NOT GONNA DIG THROUGH MY bIBLE TO GIVE EXACT REFERANCES BUT IF i SAY IT KNOW IT IS THERE AND IF YOU WANT TO UNDERSTANDopps sorry you will find them but if you are just trying to further division you will continue as you are.

We were made in His image. We have soul and spirit and scripture says we can not separate the soul an spirit even with a two edged sword that idea being we are not capable of understanding that relationship well enough to separate the two, and yet the two are separate.

now we see in a mirror darkly and when the perfect commes we will see as we are seen.

I am afraid when you see yourself as you are seen it will be as one who is speaking in direct defiance of the indisputable doctrine to be in one accord,

not of Cephas or Apallo but of Jesus and Him crucified.

Some heavenly relationships are not able to be expressed in words or even in mortal thought, and those who choose to use these areas to be contenceous are living in sin. It is more important that we love one another than that these useless geneologies be used to cause desention, do you not know that these that do this can not enter the kingdom, look it up.

Jesus can be Lord and not be God but whether He is or not makes no differance when spreading the love.

You and others insisting for or against the idea of trinity are in danger of looking in from the outside. Spend your time being a uniter not a divider, thousands of worthy souls will never know Jesus because we are not in one accord and thus do not appear worthy.

Forget all else until the optimum condition of all of us being in one accord is accomplished and this will require all of us to adopt the position that we need a large "I do not yet know" file. Get one they are not heavy to carry a person who can say I do not know yet is highly respected by those who watch in silence.

1 Jesus is God; God the Son.
2. The Lord (the Proverbs text) was; the Lord Jesus Christ.
(U.S. Americans presently may have a hard time seeing that as they have allowed God's word to be changed (in a subtle way), for roughly the last 100 years).

"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name (NOT THE NAMES) of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit" (St. Matt. 28:20).

Many Christians begin to learn about the Trinity through knowledge of Baptism. This is also a starting point for others in comprehending why the doctrine matters to so many Christians, even though the doctrine itself teaches that the being of God is beyond complete comprehension. The Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed are structured around profession of the Trinity, and are solemnly professed by converts to Christianity when they receive baptism, and in the Church's liturgy, particularly when celebrating the Eucharist. One or both of these creeds are often used as brief summations of Christian faith by mainstream denominations.

One God
God is one, and the Godhead a single being: The Hebrew Scriptures lift this one article of faith above others, and surround it with stern warnings against departure from this central issue of faith, and of faithfulness to the covenant God had made with them. "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD" (Deuteronomy 6:4) (the Shema), "Thou shalt have no other gods before me" (Deuteronomy 5:7) and, "Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel and his redeemer the LORD of hosts: I am the first and I am the last; and beside me there is no God." (Isaiah 44:6). Any formulation of an article of faith which does not insist that God is solitary, that divides worship between God and any other, or that imagines God coming into existence rather than being God eternally, is not capable of directing people toward the knowledge of God, according to the trinitarian understanding of the Old Testament. The same insistence is found in the New Testament: "...there is none other God but one" (1 Corinthians 8:4). The "other gods" warned against are therefore not gods at all, but substitutes for God, and so are, according to St. Paul, simply mythological or are demons.

So, in the trinitarian view, the common conception which thinks of the Father and Christ as two separate beings, is incorrect. The central, and crucial affirmation of Christian faith is that there is one savior, God, and one salvation, manifest in Jesus Christ, to which there is access only because of the Holy Spirit. The God of the Old is still the same as the God of the New. In Christianity, it is understood that statements about a solitary god are intended to distinguish the Hebraic understanding from the polytheistic view, which see divine power as shared by several separate beings, beings which can, and do, disagree and have conflicts with each other. The concept of Many comprising One is quite visible in the Gospel of John, chapter 17, verses 20 through 23.

God exists in three persons

The "Shield of the Trinity" or "Scutum Fidei" diagram of traditional Western Christian symbolism. This one God however exists in three persons, or in the Greek hypostases. God has but a single divine nature. Chalcedonians — Catholics, Orthodox, and Protestants — hold that, in addition, the Second Person of the Trinity — God the Son, Jesus — assumed human nature, so that he has two natures (and hence two wills), and is really and fully both true God and true human.

The singleness of God's being and the multiplicity of the Divine Persons together account for the nature of Christian salvation, and disclose the gift of eternal life. "Through the Son we have access to the Father in one Spirit" (Ephesians 2:18). Communion with the Father is the goal of the Christian faith and is eternal life. It is given to humans through the Divine union with humanity in Jesus Christ who, although fully God, died for sinners "in the flesh" to accomplish their redemption, and this forgiveness, restoration, and friendship with God is made accessible through the gift to the Church of the Holy Spirit, who, being God, knows the Divine Essence intimately and leads and empowers the Christian to fulfill the will of God. Thus, this doctrine touches on every aspect of the trinitarian Christian's faith and life; and this explains why it has been so earnestly contended for, throughout Christian history.
