Reddish and black sounds Orient decorating to me. How nice! Something different than the old eggshell colored walls.

Be sure you put two coats of Kilz primer on the furniture. Let it dry completely between coats. It should look great. Don't forget to paint the ceiling light fixture black

cadbury purple looks nice with black hold a wrapper up to the wall and you'll see what i mean ive seen it done
