Yes I Believe That

A serious commitment to border security
would require fencing off the entire southern border—
all 1,891 miles of it.
(For comparison,
we have 40,000 miles of Maintained US Interstate Highways.)

At $1.7 million per mile
(the cost of the first 10 mile stretch in San Diego),
the entire U.S.-Mexican border could be sealed off
(all 1,891 miles of it )
for $3.3 billion dollars.

Iraq spending equivalent: 13.8 days.

Cost / benefit analysis, anyone?

If / When We MILITARIZE That Border
That Border WILL Be Secure

Walls won't keep them out. Deportation will not keep them out. There are underground tunnels from one side to the other.
People who guard the border are subject to prosecution if they kill aliens trying to enter the US illegally, making them ineffective. Start sending the captured aliens to trial and some jail time before they are deported. This would send a message.
Allowing them to stay without accountability sends the wrong message, and more come in. If they really want to be here, let them do it legally like any other immigrant. To not enforce legality only cheapens the efforts of those who do.

We need to put up signs all along the border saying this area is restricted and the use of deadly force is authorized. Like they were trying to walk into a military base. We are still at war and need to act like it. After a few got shot they would get the point that we are serious. Of course, our spineless government is so worried they might offend someone this will never happen. Screw being politically correct for once and get the job done!

I sure as hell hope so, lets build the wall 20 ft high, 10 ft wide, about 100 ft from the fence, with a no mans land in between, sharpshooter and minefields optional, barbed wire n top and broken glass on the wall, give them all some thing to think about, we have trained troops , put a unit every 500 feet and then let them come.

Oh yes, put a wire mesh about 30 ft down to prevent tunneling

I feel that they could build a fence and use military force to keep the illegal immigrants out, however it's just not Mexico that we're talking about. It seems here that most people are thinking of Mexicans. That's not fair, Mexico is one of our allies. Right now USA (I Love this country), but sometimes I feel like we have idiots running this country. Why are we going to make enemies with the one country that has backed us 100%. We need to worry about the countries over seas we sure can't build a fence in the water can we. We as a country need to unite on this subject and find a better solution and everyone needs to stop being racist against Mexicans when they weren't responsible for the horrible day in 2001 we all remember. It's the terrorist and remember what a terrorist is.

nicely no because you've solved the immigration difficulty through not letting u . s . artwork with no visa and that is problematic to get. So i listen. i will't wait to go back to northern ontario and take all you fish later in Aug. and no individual is ingesting PBR or Chanting Palin.....i do not understand how both stay in agency reason absolutely everyone hates both one in all them. And if we needed to go back, neither your mounties or a fence could stop u . s . yet your snow and ice is really formidable.

Yes. If the military is kept on guard at all times, around all the border. They also have to check for tunnels, and boats, too.
