The problem would be the neighbor...not the dog(of any breed). My daughter has a pit bull and she is the most loving and well behaved dog you will ever see. It makes me sick that so many people have given this breed a bad name. Do you know how many dog attacks happen everyday that is not reported by the news that is not pit bulls? Look to the owner of any dog to see how the pets will respond. Again, the witch hunt is on for this breed...why are people so shallow that they do not see that all dogs will bite and if their owners are not responsible then there will be problems. Let's go after the owners, not the dogs!

I have a pit bull and my neighbors are the problem! People that are uneducated about this breed automatically assume it is a vicious dog out to hurt someone or something. As long as a person is taking care of their Pit properly, neighbors should not worry. If they notice that the person is abusing the Pit then for God's sake call the police! Pits have a bad enough rap as it is now and it is losers out there who don't take care of them that are causing the problems.

It All depends on how the dog was raised. My daughter has a pit and she is really very lovable. Pits get a bad rap these days like the dobermans did back in the day. I know they never said nor have I ever heard that people fought the dobermans like ignorant people do to some of these pits, but they both have been classified as very vicious.I've owned Dobes for years, even back in the day, and all of my dogs are very loving and yes, protective. If my neighbors pit was like my daughters I would have no problem at all !!!!

No, my neighbor has a pit bull name MIA, and she is the most loving dog! I don't have problems with pit bulls, and i don't believe no one should, they should have a problem with the people that own the breeds! Pit bulls are sweet not dangers animals like the media wants people to believe!

Depends on how they were raising it. If they were raising it to fight and having dog fights. Then hell yeah. I would call the cops on them whether it was a pit bull or not. But if they werent raising it to fight then there should be no problem. Any dog of any breed can bite and cause damage, they are animals.

i'd judge the owners not the dog. If they treat the dog properly, and he's not loose in the neighborhood, i would have no problem at all. If you think the owners have bad intentions with the breed, i would call someone about it. If its just their family pet, maybe try to get to know it so you are more comfortable.

If they love their dog and do not own it for the wrong reasons that's great.
I love pitt bulls and the only ones I have ever met have been the biggest sucks ever. They wrong people get them and turn them into something they aren't. Instead of banning certain types of dogs lets get rid of certain people.

pit bulls have such bad reps.
its the owners fault that they are mean.. no dog is BORN mean.
they are actually very sweet dogs and i have had many..
as long as the owner trained it well and not for FIGHTING,then you should be fine.
