I'm an african american, pretty light skinned but the problem is that in the summer I spend a lot ALOT of time in the sun... as a result i've gotten a little sunburnt I guess you could say.. like my forearms legs, and face is a little bit darker then the bottom part of my arm, and my upper biceps (spots that aren't exposed to the sun that often) and there is a very noticable diffrence.

Does anyone know how I can get my darker skin back to normal like my natrually light brown skin?

thanks.

I would imagine using a strong sunscreen would do the trick over time. Just like a suntan for a Euro-American, it's just a reaction to the sun by your skin. It gets darker to try to protect you from burns... so go with the SPF30! :)

If this 'discoloration' bothers you a lot, you might remember to use sunscreen during the year on exposed parts of your skin to minimize the color change.

Get a loofah bath sponge and scrub away. Also, you might use some body scrubs. You can make your own too with salt or sugar and liquid soap mixed together. The old skin that is discolored will slough away and the new skin will be beautiful

it only takes time for your natural skin color to come back. Any other way it will cost a lot of money and/or be with unhealthy to your skin.
