If you eat a nutritious diet you can grow until you reach your genetic potential - meaning that if your family is short you will be also. You keep growing as your long bones grow until the end of the bones closes off and you are done, as a late teenager.

It depends a lot on your age, but generally speaking, you kind of have what you have. Some people have tried to make themselves taller by having their legs broken below the knees and inserting devices to lengthen the bones. The ironic part is that this procedure (done in the former USSR) was often found to completely cripple the person who wanted to be taller.
You would be far better off to wear taller shoes. There's not much else you can do about it. :) Unless you're 3' tall, you're probably normal and fine. :P

only if u choose ur own parents (obviously cannot be done)
eat nutritious meals and adequate exercise - not necessarily basketball (tall people play basketball, basketball doesn't make you grow taller, they are tall because they're parents are tall, they eat right and they exercise).

umm..i think i read somewhere that jumping a lot helps u get taller..y do u think basketball players r that tall

I'm not asian, but i have friends that are and they are almost all taller than me.
