Making your eyeballs point downwards?

How do you make your eyeballs point downwards while having your eyes wide open (like the girl in the e-mail you get from Yahoo answers when you have received an answeer to your question). Can anyone explain exactly how?
I have tried to look far down, but then my eyelids just partly close so you cannot see the eyeballs.

Take a pencil and place it in front of your face about arms length away. Look at it with both eyes and slowly bring the pencil toward your nose, between your eyes, watching it with your eyes.
