Hephzibah, Georgia is pronounced....
hep-suh-buh or hef-zuh-buh... I went to Hephzibah High and have always pronounced it as hep-suh-buh. But others I have met over my 32 years of living a county over from Richmond County, have refered to it as hef-zuh-buh.
In reality though, it is no different then how people pronounce "tomato"... Some say tuh-mey-toh and some say, tuh-mah-toh.
Both work and both would be completely understood in our area.

Spelled correctly, there is no "L", and it's hep zi bah. Biblical in origin.
