It is very unhealthy for a dog to be caged up all day. They are very social creatures that need love, attention, and lots of exercise. Having them in the cage is not helping them get socialzed, which can lead to major behavior problems. Your dogs bark because they're bored and probably want to get out. My Golden Retriever was a caged up dog by his previous owner. She had two jobs and kept him in a cage so he wouldn't tear up the house. Then when I got him in my house he literally went nuts! He got into everything! It's only to be expected since he spent ALL of his life in a cage. It's really no way for a dog to live:( Now I had him for 3 months and he's perfectly calm. If you are worried about your dogs biting please get them trained. I looked up these sites for you http://www.dogtrainingsite.net/problemdogs/biting_dog.htm or http://www.uwsp.edu/psych/dog/dog.htm

You need to give us the details about:
1. Your Relationship with the Dogs,
2. Their Relationships with each other,
3. Why, When, & for How Long do you keep them caged?
4. What the environment (indoors/outdoors, etc ...) that you have the dogs in is, exactly.
5. Have you ever had any of them together before, uncaged - & their behavior,
6. Are they all neutered?
7. If not -- what are their sexes? &
8. If they aren't all neutered --
WHY not start with getting them all neutered? (When a female dog comes near to going into heat, she can be extremely excitable & unpredictable, for a Full Month!)

We used to have 7 little dogs at the same time. They loved to run around together, dig gophers, chase lizards, and -- yes -- BARK! That's ALL they CAN do if you're keeping them all in cages all the time! Even breeders let their dogs out a few times a day to run for an hour. Do you Honestly think that You wouldn't start yelling to get let out, if it was You that was locked up?

Why are your dogs in cages? If you are going to have dogs they should not be kept in cages on a continual basis. It's OK to crate them for short periods of time, but if you have to keep them caged, perhaps you have more than you can handle. Maybe you should consider finding homes for some of them or turning them over to a rescue group or your local SPCA or Humane Society. If you are determined to keep 4 dogs, you should get a fence, so they can get some exercise. Consider taking them for obedience training. Your local Humane Society may offer low cost training classes.

I have 3 dogs and they never go in a kennel. Dogs have feelings, believe it or not and they really need to be around people. They need to be loved and nurtured just like children. They need to be trained. If you are that afraid of them, then why have them? You are suppose to enjoy them as they are you. They bark because they are locked up and they will not stop barking until they are treated right!

Why are they caged? Dogs are not meant to be locked up, they need room to move about, I'm not surprised they bark. Dogs that have been properly trained and well treated don't usually bite for no reason.

You can get someone who knows more about dogs to be there to help you let them out one at a time. But don't keep them in the cage for long periods. They need to be out running and playing and moving to be healthy, and if nothing else, their cages need to be cleaned. If you can't care for them the way they need to be cared for, you should get rid of them. You're not the person who should have them. It's not fair to them, or to you.

Keeping dogs caged because you are afraid of them is no way to keep animals. Turn them into a rescue where someone will adopt them and love them and give them the freedom they deserve. This is cruel.

Perhaps they are barking so much because they are in cages. Why would you have four dogs if you have to cage them? If you are afraid that they may bite, you should not have them.

I don't understand how someone can get a dog and then just cage it all the time. How awful! Maybe you should give your dogs up if you cannot handle them. Animals are meant to be free, not caged.

are you stupid!?!?!?!?|!?!?!??!?!

you don't get a dog let alone FOUR dogs and keep them in cages all the time cuz you're afraid they'll bite you. if they'bve been in the cages long they will bite you cuz they've had no contact with people.

the best u can do is put them up for adoption
