Just moved here from Texas and i want to send home a "little something" that's typical of the area. ie, georgia peaches, texas pecans....

Virginia is known for ham and tobacco but is also known for peanuts. in the Tidewater region lots of peanuts are able to grow because of the weather. A cardinal is virginia's state bird, 5 presidents came from Virginia, and coal is produced in the Appalachian Mountains. if you live in the Blue Ridge mountains that area is known for lots of streams, if you live in the Piedmont lots of cattle and farm is done there, but if you live in the Valley and Ridge there they produce apples.

umm, i think that tobacco is the big crop in Virginia...and the peaches in Georgia are not very good, we might be called the peach state but South Carolina grows more peaches in one county than the whole state of Georgia.

True! Virginia IS for lovers. and is also known for the great scenery. beautiful mountains, forests, beaches. and also known for good fishin. one of the best in the nation, is Chesapeake Bay. and the James River. i lived in Newport News for a while, my favorite thing to do was fish. AAAAHHHHH,....Memories!
