It's very different than a nursing home. My person is pretty active and likes to play games, read, and collects University of Texas stuff. However, her room is only 10'x10', so space is limited.

Hmm- Well, you could try books.

Or- hey, maybe you can find some blankets, towels, or throws with the University of Texas logo on it!

Lotions, colognes, candy and other edible treats, photos, a wall decoration, a pack of playing cards, a book. If they have a CD player, perhaps a CD of Glenn Miller or Tommy Dorsey music. Flowers, a green plant. Socks or booties to keep her feet warm. A new bathrobe. Ask someone who works there. They may be able to give you some insights into what she needs or would like.

The new foam pillow. With new pillow case! Find out if she sleeps on her back or side. New sheets in her favorite color. Ask if she prefers flannel or flat or silk.
Depends on your budget.
