I assume you are referring to 1 Cor 11.
Well, actually Paul deals with the spiritual significance of the Lord's Supper in the context of a much SMALLER issue.
I say that not just as a Catholic, one who does not think there can actually be an issue larger than the Lord's Supper, no matter what that other issue is, but even from a general Christian standpoint. He broaches the issue in the context of a surrounding discussion in which he tells the disciples at the Corinth church not to treat the Eucharist as dinner. Clearly, that is a much LESS significant issue.
But going back to the Eucharist, it is THEE biggest issue Christianity has. For the Eucharist is the very sacrifice of Christ itself, made present to every age. It is also the "visible sign" of the unity of the church, which might be the "larger issue" you're hinting at. But since the Eucharist is itself that unity, in many ways it itself is the issue you believe to be larger.

Many things. The future taking bread and water/wine in remembrance of the Lord (the mass or sacrament); serving others (one of Christ's greatest lessons); dealing with a traitor at the table (accepting what is to come); spending your last bit of life with your friends (loyalty and love), and gathering strength for the ordeal ahead (willing to do the Father's will). I'm sure there are more than that. If that's not what you were looking for, would you be more specific with the question?

don't read more in to it than is intended. The Communion is an act of rememberance. Performed in the pattern Jesus himself asked it to be done. It may be taken whenever two or more of The Church gather in Jesus' Name. To remember Him
