Buy pre-made corn tortillas.
Make shells for tacos by heating (In a heavy skillet) 1/4 inch cooking oil.
Fry each tortilla 10 seconds or until limp.
With tongs, fold tortilla in half and continue frying holding edges apart. If you don't fold them, they will be tostadas.
Cook 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 minutes more or until crisp, turning once.
Drain on paper towels.

Im mexican and i can never recall a time my grandmother made a crispy taco shell if she did, she fried up a corn tortilla but no matter how much you fry /or bake it I don't think it will be JUST like taco bells I'm pretty sure you just buy extra crispy ones.

They sell taco shells at most grocery stores. I've even seen the Taco Bell brand. They're pretty cheap. Might be easier to just buy them.
