why is it that when a guy hooks up with tons of girls his guy friends praise him and he is the man.. but when a girl hooks up with tons of guys she is a whore?

Because as females we hold higher standerds for each other. Throughout time and still today in this country and forien country's a women is only exspected to have relations with only one person. Did you know that in the middle east the stone women for being unfaithful. In egypt i think the preform a surgery to young girls that prevent them from having realations. Long story short society believes women should be prim and proper, sleeping around just does'nt fit in that persona. It's not fair, but hey if you not sleeping around you dont have to worry about cathing anything.

simply because women are fighting every day to be respected like the amle is. and when you go out and do **** like that, then its pretty much saying **** respect.
