There do seem to be quite a number of highly polarized responses on both sides - the christian & the non-christians. I suspect that the incendiary responses are often encouraged by incendiary questions, painful life experiences, the anonymity of the internet & the category of question; R&S, LGBT & Politics get a degree of fly-off-the-handle incivility & the kind of firefight that I simply do not see on, say, Botany, Mathematics, Pregnancy or Relationships. These former three subjects seem to evoke alot of passionate responses, and when people become passionate, trouble follows closeby.
Peace to all,
;-)

All humans have a spirit. Hence by definition they are all in some way spiritual. All of us have a right to come into the R&S section. This is a public site.

As long as Christianity, as well as several of the other "ultimate truths", have as their end and gleefully sought after goal, the END OF THE WORLD, and as long as they believe that their rights are being violated if they are denied the opportunity to use the coercive power of the state to shove their god down every ones throat, you will have to put up with us being in your face. Why should we abandon a forum where we can let you know that you will not be allowed to carry out the silly "End Times" rubbish that you seem to forget would include the rest of us.

Religion and Spirituality is like a vast ocean. Some people stay on the shores, some wade to ankles, some to knees, some jump in and swim, some dive into the depths.

OOOPS I guess we non-christians forgot that we have no say! We are SOOOOOOOOOO sorry!
You can rest assured that we will learn our place.
Perhaps you should realize that spirituality is a separate term from religion and the the word religion does extend beyond christianity (I realize this will be difficult for you but we have "faith" that you can do it!

I DO have religion and spirituality. It's called Wicca. But any time I post ANYTHING about Wicca, I get attacked by crazy Christians who think it's their job to convert me.
Want to take a guess why it seems to be Atheists vs Christians on here? Look at the posts and see.

My Guess would be..... that they don't know it
but they are looking for the truth and that's good
because we are planting seeds
they may not come up straight away but they will
For God is in control and he will water the seeds
May God best you and have a great day

I believe they are in seek of 1 of 3 things.
1. To seek out Religious people and make them doubt their beliefs.
OR
2. They are seeking knowledge of God and trying to convince themselves to give up and believe.
OR
3. To argue and debate and further convince themselves there is no God.
