The more People loose faith, the more Religions make war. Any Idea?
Do they hope that the prospect of dying will convince me to sign up for one of them?

Did atheists start the crusades?

The Crusades

The crusades started in 1095 CE, with the speech made by Pope Urban II. In that speech, Pope Urban II referred to the Christians as the noble race of the Franks. He encouraged Christians to join the armies to get Jerusalem from the Muslims. Most of the crusaders that left Europe to fight the Muslims were actually aiming to form kingdoms and acquire the wealth found in those lands. That is why the many groups of crusaders were often quarreling amongst themselves over rule of places when they conquered cities.

The crusaders were against everyone who did not follow their religion and did not look like them. This included Muslims, Jews, and even dark-skinned Christians, all of whom were attacked and murdered by them. They even sacked the city of Constantinople, which was ruled by the Eastern Church (the Byzantine Church).

is there any surprise here? Since when can a believer be counted on to know or tell the truth about anything?

What are you smoking? Atheists by definition do not fight religious wars. We might make religions feel threatened and scared, which could indirectly lead to conflict. Some Muslims view America as not merely being Christian, but ungodly in general and they hate us for it.

Watching two religions slug it out over whose God is greater is a good way to convince yourself that both of them are full of ****. Seriously, look at Israel and Lebanon. What is wrong with those people? Both sides are doing things intended to cause civilian casualties like cluster bombing whole villages and suicide bombers, and both profess to be extremely religious. It would be funny to see such total hypocrites if there wasn't so much pointless death involved.

Angry Jews and Muslims, I only have a problem with those who say that your religion justifies this or those who only see the atrocities of the other side, and this is directed to all humanity who does this sort of thing. Send the hate mail to your politicians and religious leaders, not me! Atheists would probably have occasional wars too if there were enough of us. This sort of mass stupidity seems to be common to all humanity.

EDIT: It seems that Stalin proved my point about the universality of evil.

That correlation is false. Most wars were started because of religion. Even 9/11 occurred partially because of religion. Osama did not like secularism.
Look at it this way. When people are content with their lives, they do not want to go to war. Compare the Secular countries of North and South America, Europe, Australia, and East Asia with the fundamental countries of the Middle East. Where is the greatest conflict in the world? That's right, in the Middle East. The Secular countries live in superb conditions, while people in the fundamental countries of the Middle East do not live as happily as we do.
Look at Europe. When Europe was largely controlled by the church, the nations were constantly in warfare. Now, Europe, which is extremely secular, lives in relative peace. Even the European colonization was partially fueled by the church. When new lands were conquered, the church saw millions of people ripe for conversion.
Atheism does the opposite of spurring religious wars.

First, show that there are more wars today. There have always been a lot and it just seems that way because you live now.

Second if there has been a recent increase, it is more likely that it is due to more population, not the particular religion that is involved.

Third, the religious don't listen to atheists so how do you propose that we are causing the religious to fight each other?

It's the variation of the types of religion that causes war along with government intervention. To say that athiests cause war's is totally stupid. The reason why people lose faith is due to the contradictions that the various religions make,it makes it all a bit confusing and people don't know what to believe anymore.

Joseph Stalin

Early researchers of the number killed by Stalin's regime were forced to rely largely upon anecdotal evidence, and their estimates range as high as 60 million.
Many religions popular in the ethnic regions of the Soviet Union including the Roman Catholic Church, Uniats, Baptists, Islam, Buddhism, Judaism, etc. underwent ordeals similar to the Orthodox churches in other parts: thousands of monks were persecuted, and hundreds of churches, synagogues, mosques, temples, sacred monuments, monasteries and other religious buildings were razed.Stalin's role in the fortunes of the Russian Orthodox Church is complex. Continuous persecution in the 1930s resulted in its near-extinction: by 1939, active parishes numbered in the low hundreds (down from 54,000 in 1917), many churches had been levelled, and tens of thousands of priests, monks and nuns were persecuted.

They do seem inordinately hostile to non-believers. And indeed they do hope to scare you into hoping that death doesn't really mean the end. But of course in order to transcend death, you must accept the teachings of _____ (fill in the blank with the name of the locally accepted deity.)

It takes many years and countless hours of negation to stifle that great human virtue: doubt - and the very existence of non-believers threatens to resuscitate it. Hence the admonitions against being "deceived" by the forces of reason. (Martin Luther was very clear on the pernicious role of reason relative to Godliness.) And hence the classification of denying the deity as the unpardonable sin.

The research I've do on the subject shows that the atheist societies have killed close to 2 billion people.
Considering there are only 6 billion people on the planet we are all lucky they didn't kill all of us.

Religion has killed 3 - 5 hundred thousand. Religious deaths are usually done during war where the atheist just do it to be doing it against civilians most of the time.

Oh, you must mean all the religious wars that happened in the middle ages when there was a big movement toward atheism. You know that atheists started the Crusades, right?

enable them to convey this war. My ancestors slaughtered them like dogs in the previous whilst they tried to stress their faith upon them. i in my opinion wish that the Abrahamic faiths and the atheists might all close up and learn appreciate. For all their claims to be distinctive they're all performing alike. additionally i might prefer to show out that many pagan paths do no longer say they're non violent. And Heathen paths overtly admit that they are going to clutter you up in case you screw with them. i've got by no ability used my faith to break others i exploit my fists and on condition that they step up first.
