Have you ever watched your cat and suddenly you saw something else or someone in a split second?

Yes I do. The ancient Egyptians worshiped cats. Bast was the cat god and guardian of the underworld. I know all of the cats I've owned (and they have been too numerous to count) know when there's something funny (odd) about a house. They can sense things that we humans can't. We have forgotten the ability to do this as we've become the "superior" species. We can learn a lot from animals.

I happen to be a cat lover. So, no I don't think cats are guardians of the underworld. I love cats. Cats are the best animal in the world.

I own 2 cats, I have a black Persian, and a Siamese. When I am in my recliner relaxing my Persian is sleeping on my lap and my Siamese will be in the bedroom lying on the bed, now both cats are in 2 different rooms, my Siamese cat will start growing and hissing at something in my bedroom and there is no one else there. I live alone. So yes I believe my Siamese is guarding me from something that one he can see.

i imagine the Egyptians honestly worshipped cats, it wasnt like they were only pets, like canine are to us. they fairly looked as a lot as them as sacred animals. They did have self assurance they were guardians pof the underworld or some thing, yet they were fairly effective and major to them.

I think there is some truth to your question. The Egyptians believed it. My cat seems to see things I don't see. My dog seems to see things I don't see. I think animals have special gifts. People need to start recognizing that dogs, cats, horses, and possibly other animals can be their spiritual guides. I will always have a dog because I think dogs are very special.

these are flashes of other dimensions that you get ,from being hit on the head, exessive alcohol or drugs especially mushrooms

do you have a head ache???

I don't think cats are in any way evil, but there may be something to them being sensitive to things that we can't see. When my family bought our first house, our cats would try to claw through the door to get out, they hissed and spit when we took them inside, and raised hell for days. We backed out of closing on it, and when we hunted for another house, we took one of them with us... call me silly, but I think there is something to them being guardians against certain things.

My cat guards the food bowl and wherever she chooses to sleep at the moment. On occasion she'll even guard me, but only if she's bored.

No they are only guardians of the scratching post and food bowl.
